I understand that when I book admission to DC that I also receive 7 consecutive days admission to SW. Do the 7 consecutive days have to be after our DC reservation? May the 7 consecutive days begin before the DC reservation. I want to reserve DC for the last day of my trip but I want to visit SW during my trip. TIA

Hi it can be 7 days before or after, or whatever combination like 3 before and 4 after

Seconded, last year we went to Sea World first, then Discovery Cove. You just go to guest services and show them your Discovery Cove confirmation and tickets, and they will issue you with your Sea World pass.

It's usually neat to visit SWF after your day at DC.

When you visit DC, the trainers will tell you how they make the dolphins do tricks. You can then try the commands at SWF when you feed the dolphins in the Key West area. The dolphins won't respond to point commands because they know who the trainer is. But if you hold you hand out if front of you like a police officer telling a car to stop, the dolphin might rise up out of the water.

I've not been to DC or SWF. Any advice is appreciated. DS11 and DD9 became addicted to the snorkeling at Typhoon Lagoon during our last Disney trip. This prompted a friend to reccomend DC. I hope it's as wonderful as it sounds.

Hi your kids will love snorkelling then with the rays and fish, if you call DC up 24 hours before your visit you may be able to arrange your swim time, I'd recomend about 11:30am as then you can have lunch after and relax enjoying the park, also if you are buying pics which u will :goodvibes pick them up about 4pm as if u wait till park closing the queues are huge, also at DC just now they are doing 10% off at certain times so check your booking as if its cheaper now you may be able to get it reduced :thumbsup2

I'm also going to Discovery Cove, I'm celebrating my daughter's birthday there, she loves dolphins... I can't wait to see this park. It sounds wonderful. Thank's for the advice too. :goodvibes

We went on Nov 2 / 06 . This place is paradise. So very relaxing. The only setback was the video equipment broke down and they were unable to videotape. Discovery gave us a return visit, to do it all over again. We are going back Christmas Day 2007! So excited, I can't wait another year... :rotfl:

That's awesome! 2 days for the price of 1!

Just a thought that you might not want to wait until your very last day of your trip to visit DC.. We were there a few years ago so I don't know if their policies are the same, but we had a swim time of around 2 pm and didn't get into the water with the dolphins until around 3:30 because of thunderstorms in the area. I asked what would have happened if the thunderstorms went on for the rest of the day and they said they would have given us a pass for another day. My husband and kids would have been devastated because we were leaving the next day.

Like I said, just a thought and I guess it also depends on what time of year you are visiting.

Excellent advice. I was planning on going our last day. We've now decided to go a day earlier. Thanks for posting.

Are you able to chose Busch Gardens instead of Seaworld for the 7 day pass with Discovery Cove?

Yes...at least when we booked in November.

Do we always get the free sea world tickets or is that a special deal?
That would be cool as were not going to get the flex ticket this time, but we are defo going to DC. getting a sea world ticket would be a bonus.:)

I just got back from Disney and we did Discovery Cove on 12/28/06, I tried to call the day before to arrange our time for the Dolphin Encounter and unless you have special needs you cannot do so. We were there early the next day at check in (8:30 a.m.) and got a 10:05 swim time. The temperature was in the upper 40's but let me just say the water was 80+ and the coral reef and dolphin water was in the 70's so don't worry if it is cold the water is not. This place was wonderful and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. Have fun:thumbsup2
