Hello.
We are thinking of planning a trip to Florida again, but this time we really want to do Discovery Cove.
But...there is a problem. Prices!
Here are the prices for the months we could go.

November 2011- Dolphin Swim $229, Non-Dolphin Swim-$139
April 2012- Dolphin Swim $339, Non-Dolphin Swim- $199

There are no dates for February 2012 or March 2012. Any way this might change, or any of the above prices could change before then? Right now we just want to know what month to go, and those months are-

November 2011
April 2012
May 2012
June 2012
November 2012

It would be nice to go in September or October, but in September there are a lot of chicken and duck shows, and we are beginning to harvest pumpkins and things (we sell pumpkins, indian corn, things like that in the fall) and in October that is pumpkin-selling month! :confused3

Any way prices might change at all-any places we could get discounts?
What do you think the prices might be for May, June 2012?

Thanks.

There are two ways to help make the money worth it. Number one, add the SW, BG, Aquatica option for 50 bucks. You can get into all three for fourteen days. That helps the price.

Second, you can buy a one year Platinum SW Pass, allows entry to all their parks like 8 or 9 for 299$ for a year Plus free parking and 10% discounts. Then you can book DC up to six tickets for 169 w dolphin swim or 69 without.

We purchased one Platinum Pass. We are close to Bush Gardens Williamsburg and their water park so we can use the pass at home. There are six of us going so the saving was pretty big. About 100 per person.

Just saw this offer, and its a GREAT offfer! Just saw it in the other thread! Starts on April 12th but its well worth the price almost half!!

I only have 3 posts so it wont let me post the link (says i need 10 posts) but its in the cheapest seaworld tickets thread and and they are 179 i believe just click on that link nad click on the offers at the bottom :)

From what I understand you don't have to have a platnium AP to get the discount at DC either. We looked at getting one AP to do DC and could have just gotten the basic one and still qualified for the discount. You don't get the 14 day ticket though to another park so if you are going to SW, BC, or Aquatica you are better off finding another way.

Also, be sure to call and ask if they have any AP discounts left before you do this.

We've lucked out and both times we've gone I've been able to get a discount using my AmEx card. Both times were in Sept. So far, this year, I haven't seen one out there yet. I would think they will offer it later in the year.

Last year we saved $50 pp using AmEx. Dolphin Experience was $149 and non-dolphin was only $79. 2 with Dolphin and one without came to $401 with tax. A pretty good deal.

BTW, my Dsis recently booked for this May and was able to get 2 non-dolphin experiences. They don't really want to do the dolphins so this worked out great for them. I don't know how long they've been allowing this but I know in 2006 they didn't. You had to have at least one Dolphin experience per family.

My Dsis paid $139/each for the non-dolphin admission. 3 years ago we paid $279 for Dolphin, $179 for non-Dolphin. We did get back $50 each from AmEx on the Dolphin experience, revised cost $229. Total that year was $640 (plus tax) vs. $367. A savings of about $270! That's why we did it again last year. I couldn't pass up such a great deal.:cloud9:

ADDED-people have posted previously that they were able to get the AmEx discount by purchasing AmEx Gift Cards.
