Dear All,

I intend to visit Discovery Cove for a day in late November (perhaps around the 20th). I am concerned because, coming from the UK, I am unsure of what weather to expect.

My main concern is with the weather - will I be able to 'sunbathe' for most of the day? The park doesnt seem to have that many different things to do, so relaxing in the sun will be a large part of the day I think.

What are peoples views on this? It would seem very expensive if I cant spend pretty much the whole day there.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You should be fine. It's still pretty warm in late November. Temps can range between 65-80 degrees during the day. I would expect Upper 70s, low 80s. It doesn't really rain much in November. So that's a plus. You will have a good time!

And though you may not think so by just reading the itinerary, there are plenty of things to do to fill your day at Discovery Cove. I haven't been in awhile but i'm sure people who have gone recently will be able to give you a better idea of how your day will be. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, you get complimentary admission to Seaworld for 2 weeks with a Discovery Cove Purchase. So if you run out of things to do on your day, you could always jump across the street to Seaworld for a few hours.

Thank you very much for your reply. You have encouraged me to go ahead and book!

You'll want to stay in the water as much as you can, because the water will probably be warmer than the outside air temperature. But there will be plenty of sun, just be sure to dry off right away to keep from getting too cold. Wind can also be a factor.

But if you're worried about things to do there's plenty to see in the water when snorkeling and birds in the aviary and there's your dolphin swim and lunch and eating. So don't be too worried about that.

I think it will end up being perfect weather for their trip. According to this weather.com chart, the average temp in November in Orlando is 79 degrees. Thats perfect weather. Won't be cold at all. Very jealous of SteveyJC's trip.
