I just bought our 2014 tickets :goodvibes. I paid $219 pp for the dolphin swim and $149 for regular park tickets. So excited!! Not sure if there is a special code, the email just linked to the booking page and prices were reflected on the calendar.

Here is the fine print:

Packages are available with and without Dolphin Swim Experience. Valid for Discovery Cove reservations in 2014. Dates subject to availability. Blackout dates apply March 17 - April 21, June 1 - August 31. Restrictions apply. Not valid on previously booked reservations or in combination with other offers. Must book Discovery Cove reservation by December 25, 2013, valid for visits in 2014. *14-day unlimited ticket to SeaWorld® Orlando and Aquatica, SeaWorld's Waterpark" valid on visits surrounding your Discovery Cove day. Offer valid for US residents.


ETA, SeaVenture was an additional $49 pp

We are going Presidents week and discount is showing up Friday and Saturday but prices higher the rest of the week.

This could have potentially saved me $160 plus tax.

Thanks zilp. I did give their customer service department a call tonight, and no luck :sad2: . Canadians excluded. Again.

I intend to send my (constructive) thoughts off to SeaWorld Parks & Recreation later tonight. I am just one voice, but hey. I think they need to know how international visitors feel about their promotion policies lately.

I think it's a good idea to write and complain. If it was me I would probably do the same. You should mention that you are a prolific poster on the DisBoards and a huge fan of SW and their parks. You certainly helped me when I was planning my SW/BG trip last year. I am sure you have helped a lot of other posters plan their visits to their parks- they should be thanking you!! Good luck Gina :)

Well, I sent them off a little note summarizing my thoughts....in a constructive way, I promise :) . I think consumer feedback is a valuable tool for any business, so I tried to provide them with constructive criticism on their recent promotion exclusions. Something tells me it may all fall on deaf ears :scratchin but at least I can say I tried. I will keep ya'll posted if they happen to reply with anything other than a canned "thank you for your feedback".
 
Oh....and for zilp (or anyone else who got the email and can get the link to actually show discounted prices)........would you be able to tell me what August 25th, 2014 is showing as a rate for the dolphin swim? Just wondering if its blacked out or if the discount applies. (I am currently booked at $259 pp)

It is excluded. Price is coming up as $259 pp for August 25.

I was hoping for August dates too but was disappointed.
 
I am also CDN and have booked this same deal the last two years via an email. I knew that these emails usually come out around the 15th of Nov. I haven't gotten one yet. I wouldn't be surprised if we still got an email. Gina now you can understand my frustrations I was having being Cdns with SW parks!!!

Well, that stinks for both of us then. Thank you for checking for me :) . (And I just read zilp's original email, and saw that the entire summer from June 1 to August 31st is considered a black-out period. Holy moly!)

You are more optimistic than I am, my dear!! I am betting that we won't see a similar offer, if the $50 SeaWorld weekday ticket is any indication (we were fully excluded from that promo, too). Not that it will make any difference for this coming vacation....we still have our DC tickets purchased, and we'll still be going (despite their crappy business practices these days, we still love the SW parks) but Universal is looking mighty appealing for 2015.
 
Yes Gina, I tend to be an optimist. You are probably right. They email the last few years has been in an Xmas theme. We have always booked our DC day through it. Like you, we already have our tickets bought and paid for. I have sent an email to customer services as well. Not happy with their business practice as of late. 27 in my March Break group last year, teachers we travelled together and we all booked through this email special last year. All cdns. Too bad. Univversal it will be for us as well.

I'm Canadian and was holding out hope for this special as well for our March trip, but even if we were American our dates are excluded.

There is currently an American Express deal that extends into January. Maybe if I wait a bit longer that may push into March or beyond?

Gina, what about an american express discount? we are going in less than a month :beach: and my "father in law" called and got the am ex deal for us...it did save us a significant amount. We got the resort day (not dolphin swim) for 159 dollars and we were allowed to use it on X-mas day. I don't know if the am-ex deal is limited to the US only... just an idea :)

Unfortunately, while it appears it is open to Canadian residents, it does not work for my dates (the offer expires January 31st. and we are going in August :headache:). But for any other Canucks out there who might be visiting before the end of January and who also have an Amex card, it might be worth posting the link once again:
