I am curious how they check or would know if you are even a florida resident for there fl rates?

If you visit Orlando often (or live near one of the other Busch Gardens park, Sea Worlds or the Sesame Street park up North) their two year EZ pay pass (roughly $12/person/month) can't be beat and you don't have to be a Florida resident to get it. :)

This pass isn't valid at Discovery Cove, although it's great for Sea World. I would recommend getting the platinum season pass from Sesame Place if you end up going this route, it's cheaper than the other parks, you just aren't guaranteed free parking, as that is a perk you get when you buy the pass from the individual park.

They don't give much of a break to Sea World pass holders at Discovery Cove either. I called the other day to see what this would cost for a day (what discounts we'd get with a season pass to go in March to get an idea for next year) // They only give $20 off -- $269 to go with the dolphin swim instead of $289 and no extra park or $179 instead of $199 without the dolphin swim and no extra park. As lovely a park as Discovery Cove is, for that price it's just not worth it to us. We've been before, done dolphin swims other places too, and my son was there a second time last summer with the Sea World overnight career camp he was doing. What we'll do instead of going there for a day is hit Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park. Definately not the same, but it will be a fun day and will fit in our budget better at $50 per day per person.

Sorry, I was responding to her second post asking about discounts to Sea World...
