Only parents of children with a disability understand what it does to you mentally and physically. One side effect is that you end up feeling isolated and alone, you get so tied up in the extra care required plus appointments with health professionals, educational needs etc that it's hard to really take time out and understand that people do care.

People on this thread and via facebook have taken the time to email DC and express their thoughts. People we have never met. That is amazing.
