The family and I gathered around the T.V. last night to watch the Disney Cruise. It was awsome. We went on a cruise about 10 months ago, and we are thinking about booking another one real soon. I havent been on the boards in along time, because I knew if I got on them I would want to go back, and I was right:p . Another year and we will be booking another one.

P.S. These Boards are awsome;) ;) ;)

I watched the DCL episode on the Travel Channel at 9:00 and again at midnight!!! I watch it every time it is on....my family just looks at me...we have seen it about 10 times already!!!

I watched it in bed last night and my husband was groaning at me to turn it off!! :)

It sure was great, but being the planning junkie I am I wish they would show more about all the onboard activities and ports of call and less about how the ship was made.

I've watched it 3-4 times now, family always get sucked in right along with me. We like to pick out facts they get wrong, and things that have changed. I think it's time for a new show. Do they have programs like this about other cruise lines? Diana

I watch it when it's on TV even though I have it taped too. :p Do you know what else is good? On the Disney web site, not their cruise site, just the regular Disney World site, order their trip planning DVD, it has SO MUCH information on it! There are just a few minute's worth of the cruise line (actually its the same exact stuff they have on the Cruise line video), but if you like Disney World and their resorts, and everything else to do with Disney World, this DVD is awesome. If you just hit "play" and let it go, it's a good couple hours' worth of Disney viewing :sunny:

P.S. Be sure to order the DVD, the video doesn't have near the same amount of information.

I love the DVD too! Yes, If you haven't ordered it yet, you really should. It is wonderful!

I am watching the DCL special on the Travel Channel right now! I taped it last night to give to a family we have been trying to talk into joining us. They are expecting a baby next month, so they are waiting to see how things go with the baby before they make any decisions.

Anyway, I love watching ALL of the Disney shows on the Travel Channel.

Dancind, I know the Travel channel also has a show on cruise ship secrets, where they feature different cruise lines (sadly, not Disney) and show how they get all that food onboard and prepared for the hundreds of passengers to what it is like living onboard as a crew member. I wish they would do an updated show like this for Disney; they could possibly also show the differences between the 3,4 and 7 day cruises.

:( I need to get satalite TV...I don't get the Travel Channel with my cable...I can't even purchase it, it just isn't offered!!

We love that show (we have it taped too) because we see Jamie from the Oceaneer's Lab and our head server, Alfredo(from our June-July 4 day Wonder). Just wish we saw our server, Alun from Scotland, he was wonderful!

Everytime that comes on, I always look for me and my DH. I am pretty certain that it was filmed on our cruise(4 night Wonder in Oct 2002). There was a film crew there and I completely recognize one of the passengers that is "featured". I bet the ladies will know which one I am talking about....he saunters through the Rainforest, then he is the guy who is in the capsule...quite the hunky feller!!! Brown hair, with arms to die for... Well, he was at one of the cardio classes I was in, then asked what my tattoos meant when we were on the Adult beach....I was on my honeymoon an all, but I certainly do remember him!!!::yes::

Does the Travel Channel show other Disney travel stuff? And how do you know their programming in advance, if you don't have a bunch of sharp-eyed DIS'ers watching your back?

on Discovery.com, if you click on the Travel Channel link, you can do a search for shows. I found out about the ones on cruises by searching under "cruise" and also found several different shows that will be airing soon about WDW and Disney Asia by searching for "Disney."

Hope this helps,
Nicole
