Dh is getting 40% off, being military.
Funny thing (okay, not so funny) ... We (dh is the one who'd on active duty) are currently stationed in GA. When we were in South Carolina, dh was a reserve sheriff's deputy. He worked many hours with his regular deputy partner. Honestly, I was more worried about him working for the sheriff's dept than I am with his full-time military job. I can't tell you how many night shifts I couldn't sleep because I was so scared for him. He told me that once he tackled a guy who duct-taped a woman and beat her, all the while packing heat. And he witnessed, close up, a guy who attacked a woman and ran, only to commit suicide in front of him (I read about both instances in the paper). I don't want to think about what he hasn't told me. With the military, you can kind of predict things. With law enforcement, you just can't, especially in regards to domestic disputes.
Disney really should recognize first responders in addition to the military. The job certainly is not easy!
But, to answer your question, if you are a federal employee, you can stay at Shades of Green. Not sure if you have to be DoD or not. Last time we stayed there, we made the ressie under my name (I'm a DoD civilian). I don't know if it's open to all federal civilians or not. Other than that, I'm not aware of any discounts available ...
