Discounts include POR

Am waiting to book a mother daughter trip for December and originally was planning on the poly however know my family wants that resort for our week in March!

So now considering POR royal room?? Does anyone know if they are usually included in discounts and is that a good option for a quick trip with just doing MK Epcot and the Christmas party?? Worried about transportation?? We usually stay deluxe as we are a family of five so normally have to but think she would love the royal room!

We love POFQ, but usually they are not included in discounts. This year we are staying at PORS, because we could get a discount there. I think that you are talking about PORS when you are asking about a Royal Room. Unless they are new this year, POFQ does not have Royal Rooms (please correct me if I'm wrong as I don't want to misinform anyone). The discount we received this year was a bounceback discount, and at the time, PORS included preferred rooms (which we booked) and royal rooms in their offer. Hopefully this means you may see an offer for royal rooms. FWIW, we've had great luck with transportation from both Port Orleans resorts. I think you'd like either

Thank you. I mistyped you are right I meant POR. We are used to being on the monorail so just wondering how it would be transportation wise. But the rooms look adorable!!!

They do look beautiful - I'm sure your daughter would be thrilled to stay in one. PORS is a lovely resort. We stayed there once, but prefer the size of POFQ. This trip the discount at PORS was the tipping factor for us to book there. We are staying at monorail resort too, for a split stay (for the first time, Contemporary - can't wait) and I'm looking forward to the ease/speed of transportation. We don't mind the PO buses though - PORS and POFQ share on occasion, but we usually find that we have our own dedicated bus system. We've stayed at Beach Club before and found the bus rides long, with many stops, but PO resorts have been great for us. Have a great trip!

The POR Royal Rooms are often included in discount promotions as I don't think they book as quickly due to the higher price. The rooms are lovely. We stayed in one during our August 2012 trip. I'm partial to the Parterre Place building as I prefer the look of the courtyard and fountain.

Like a PP noted, the RR are generally always included in the discounts. As for transportation, it can be hit or miss at any resort including deluxes. We just stayed at GF in November and loved the monorail to/from MK but absolutely hated it for EPCOT and unless you are going to be going back and forth during the day the time saved is minor.

Not gonna lie, my daughter and I stayed in a RR at POR and it was just ok. The overall feel of the resort didn't fit us. We were excited to stay here and found the quiet pool to be depressing. I think it was the whole atmosphere. Didn't feel enough like Disney to us.
