Discounts for Downtown Resorts

My future SIL wants to stay at a Downtown Disney Resort (The Double Tree), Because she needs more space than the All-Stars offer, But says that they would be cheaper than a Disney Moderate. I don't know if I agree with her. She is not going until Septemper so I really think she may be able to get a room only code of some sort to lower the rate of the Moderate room at Disney. Does Double tree, or any other Downtown resort offer Discount codes or anything?

I just punched in dates for the second week in September and they came back with a rate of $109.00.

You can also get great rates just by contacting the Hotels Directly through Website specials or other promotions they may have going on. It's worth a shot since they are likely to discount you vs. paying priceline or expedia for marketing for them...

I checked out Mousesavers and entered the exact dates and it still gives me $109 per night. I think that even with the special codes, the moderate Disney resorts end up being around $113 a night. eventhough I prefer staying on site, I have to admit she is getting more room for her money at the double tree. But than again, I like the atmosphere and location of Disney resorts!

Sometimes - Disney (CRO - Walt disney travel company or whatever they are calling themselves) - has deals on the Downtown Disney Hotels - you need to call find out.

Once they had the Hilton for $89 a night.

since she is going in Sept - how about OKW - it is a DVC - WDW resort - Sept is their low season - points rent for $10 a night - so she could get it for $80 a night.

2 queen beds, plus a microwave and under-the-counter refrigerator plus a small balcony with a large bathroom - otherwise it has the same stuff that the moderate does. the $80 a night is only good for Sun-thurs (leaving Friday morning) - you don't want to stay on Fri/Sat much to expensive - $200 a night.....
