When I was a the Fort a couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting several ladies who "live" at the Fort for several months out of the year. They encouraged me to book for a week around Halloween next year. They mentioned discounts for AP holders and AAA discounts as well. I have made ressies but now I am considering buying AP for my family as we will be visiting in January '09 too. Does anyone have info about AP discounts? Can they be applied to ressies I've already made? Are there "blocks" of time that the discounts do or don't apply? :upsidedow

i always check mousesavers.com for ap discounts

they are always current with the codes, however, they go really fast, so be diligent in checking the site every day

i would start out with the AAA discount and go from there

I think that they will create a new reservation for the new discount. You can hold onto your existing until you know that you have a firm reservation using the AP discount. This is how it's worked for me in the past as we compare the AP discounts to the bounceback offers. My history has been with hotel-only reservations. I don't know how packages would work.

Don't get too excited about AP discounts for campsites. For our May '08 trip our AP discount would've been only $2 more a night to stay at Pop Century. I believe my total savings for 8 nights at FW with the AP discount was something like $15.46.

We are passholders and this is what we do...I always book out a year or more in advance. Then about 2-3 months before I visit I call and ask if they have any "passholder rates" available. I am also a Florida resident so I ask for Florida resident rates as well. If there are any available they apply it to my existing reservation. It depends when the reservation is. On a 7-10 day stay I have had more than $200 take off and as little as $50 taken off. It just depends on when and how long. It can reduce you daily stay from lets say.....76 a night to 62 a night etc... again...it just depends......

I would only ecome a passholder if you will really USE the passes. Not for the discount. If I were to reccomend anything it would be the DISNEY DINING EXPERIENCE card! NOW THAT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!! I save 20% on every meal! It pays for itself after 1 or 2 dinners!

Yeah, Jen is right! I check with Mousesavers and find out when the discounts are announced. Then give that code to the CM when you call. They usually come out 2-3 months in advance. Then I call and see if they are available. But again, I ALWAYS have it booked a year or more before I call for the discount. Then they apply it.

We do the annual passes also not for the discount but becuase we will use them for a 10 day trip in say nov 07 then use them agian for oct 08 15 day trip then when we go in 09 we will go dec or nov then in 2010 sorry 10 just didn't look right by itself we will go in oct or nov so we use it on 2 trips and yes the dinning experience now tables in wonderland is awesome especially if you have a larger party of people or stay for a week or more 20% off food and drink adds up in disney but one more thing they do add in 18% grat back on it so you save the tip and 2% well you save some at least right hope this helped a little
