Discounted Tickets for Lion King In Your Town?

I'm not even sure if this is the correct board...

Does anyone know if there are discounts for the The Lion King? (Traveling broadway show) I know it is coming to my area and wondered if there are any discounts like APH, DVC, Disney Visa, etc.

I personally believe that their goal is to NEVER, EVER discount tickets. (Of course - this is my experience!) Because - why should they discount the show if people are paying list price!

They will do a lot with presales...which does help you get great seats. This may happen through your credit card companies. But no great deals IMO on presales.

Oh - and just wait until you see the fees for the "theater rennovations"...ticketmaster order fee... etc. (I swear they make these fees up, some seem so ridiculous)

I loved Lion King...it was a great production.

I thought that I was sent something on this, but it might have been Just for the one in NY through our DVC membership.

My mom, who isn't a Disney fan, saw the commercial and said that she would really like to go to that. She really likes the music! I was thinking that it would be really nice to see the full version...until I saw the prices! It will be about $300 for three of us! That is a chunk of change right before we go on vacation. I might just have to settle for the short version in Aug. when we go to WDW! Sorry mom!

I just rec'd two codes for the Lion King in Boston, which is playing now through mid-March. One was PUMBAA and one was JUNGLE. It gives you 25% off.

Not sure, I rec'd the JUNGLE code in the AAA newsletter and PUMBAA came in an email for people who have bought tickets for Disney on Ice in the past. I would think there is a spot for a promotional code.

I thought Disney Visa had a code, but it may be for Broadway. If you have a Disney Visa, go and check member benefits online. I know Mary Poppins on tour was discounted.

I saw the Las Vegas production. If you can swing it - $$ wise - GO! It is: Awesome. Unbelievable. Great. Terrific. (insert adjective of choice!)

Also, sign up for information on the venue's website or the production company's website. I know that they usually send out pre-sale codes.
I am not sure where you live, but I have also had good success with http://www.goldstar.com They usually have excellent prices for popular shows. The seats are usually not in the very front, but I have always sat somewhere in the orchestra. I was in row 10 for the ending run of Wicked! Of course I had already seen it six times You do have to sign up to use it, but it is free.
