Hey all! Is it possible to get discounted Disney tickets through Ebay, Timeshares, vendors in orlando etc?

Just wondering.

thanks All!!!

Brunette

Try ticketmania.com. I've worked with them in the past. Good price and good service.

However, that being said, try the official Disney website. If you buy a package of room and tickets, the price on the tickets is pretty good.

Another vote for Ticketmania -- very reputable and good prices: http://www.ticketmania.com.

Be leary of purchasing tickets off Ebay. There is no way to know if the ticket is legitimate and, if it is, how many days are left on the ticket. Many people have purchased tickets off Ebay and gotten to WDW to find that there are no days (or fewer than advertised) left on the tickets. You are then forced to spend MORE money to purchase tickets at full price in order to have your vacation.

Check Mousesavers.com - she has an ex cellent tips section on getting tics, and she recommends ticketmainia also :wizard:

On ebay there are few types of tickets available, and the cost is more than the ticket brokers recommended in mousesavers. I purchased tix through ticketmania and would recommend them highly.

Have a great vacation!!!

Another ticketmania fan here. With them you know what you are getting and they send you a bunch of Orlando and Disney brochures.

Yes, it looks like it. The discount is a little better the more days you purchase. Also, Ticketmania prices include shipping whereas you would have to pay $3 in shipping at http://www.disneyworld.com.

When are you going? If you have time sign up for the newsletter at www.mousesavers.com. The letter comes out on the 15th each month & there is a link to Ticketmania that will give you better prices. And Mary's site has great budget tips.

It appears that you're looking at the 3-day adult passes at Ticketmania. There are not too many places that will discount the 3-day MYW tickets beyond what Ticketmania does. However, if you're going this year, you can get a 3-day Park Hopper w/PI or DQ plus for $192.00 at DiscountOrlandoVacation.com . The ticket expires 10 days from it's first day of use and cannot be used after 12/30/2005. It costs more than a 3-day base pass but it's a hopper and it includes the PI or DQ plus.

Am I not getting something here? I've searched, and the cheapest I've found the tickets is advance purchase at the Disney website - I'm assuming "gate" prices are more, and the discounts represented by the ticket brokers are off the gate price, while advance thru Disney is cheapest.

Am I right, or what am I missing? I'm hoping to get the cheapest per day price (short of a season pass) without Parkhopper, so am looking at the 10 day no expire (might add the magic plus, cause that seems like a good deal). Is there anywhere cheaper than direct from Disney?

Thanks!

First I would like to say "thanks" for all your comments and suggestions. I was looking for a deeper discount like 50 percent or more. :teeth:

I'll tell you we bought the annual passed in May 04 for $400.00 per person it was WELL WORTH it. We just wanted to go back one more time. We're going this Thursday. Why $192 for a 3 day pass when I can get a whole year for $400? I guess I would have to consider the amount, it's double in price but you get a whole year. Again, thanks for your help on this.

Are there any timeshares that give away passes?

Thanks All!

Disney's website does not include the tax in the price that they quote. Add 6.5% for taxes and you'll see that the ticketbroker prices are always less than Disney's advance-sale price, even if it's only a few dollars less.

That would be a hefty discount but you're just not going to see it happen. That would be well below the price that Disney sells the passes to the ticketbrokers for.

My guess would be because not everyone can or does return for more fun within a 1-year time period and therefore it would be a waste of money to spend the additional $208.

I got scammed last year on an auction, yahoo. I "won" four 7 day park hopper passes for $700. Seemed like a great deal........ I never got them, but I did recieve a great trip planning video and after filling auction insurance I got a grand total of drum roll $175 back. Now here is the fun part, my scammer was a crack head from Atlanta and she used the $$$ to buy crack, I filled a police report with the police down there. She actually convicned me she was a police and fire dispatcher and recieved these tickets for being a good employee. :headache: boy what a mess, plus I found out that it is as Disney puts is, not legal to use tickets purchased from an auction to enter thier park.... Hmmmmm anyway please save yourself the hassle and don't do the auction route. Just my two cents.

Wow Eric! That is a terrible thing that happened to you! Thank you so much for sharing your experience to warn other DISsers.

Often timeshare sales will offer one day passes for sitting through a presentation. Some people do it, personally, I don't think its worth the hassle. By the time you are done, plan on giving up half a day of prime vacation time for a one day non-hopping ticket. Too expensive for me, my vacation time is worth more than that.
