Hi,

Put this in Google:

PARK HOPPER® Meeting/Convention tickets

followed by the month you will be going. You'll get a list of conventions PDF's with discounted ticket prices.

Nifty!

KC

Nifty, indeed, but, what are you going to do when they ask for convention ID's or ID's proving you work for the company?

Its a good idea and it works out fine. Those passes are good for a week before and after the convention. You wouldn't have your info yet, and also many companies don't have ids.
I know of several people who get their tickets this way regularly.

Out of curiosity, I took a look. Funny thing was that for all the 2004 conventions I looked at, the tickets were the same price as advance purchase hoppers.
The difference was that they offered specially priced "after 2pm" single park tickets, and 2 & 3 day hoppers.
Some said that you had to have proof of being a convention attendant in the very, very fine print, but not all.
I'll stick with my FL Resident pass, but it was an interesting read. :D

I will stick to the more honest way to go and that is to buy what I am entitled to buy.

Don't worry, I'm very entitled to my Florida resident pass. :D

I have no doubt, Dave, I was just adding on to your post. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks Gail! I thought.. Well, it doesn't matter what I thought. I pretty much stay confused. ;)

LOL, well, I am sure that I was confusing in my message.
Just to clarify, I said:

To add on to your comment about your Fl. pass regarding using convention passes that I (or anyone) am not entitled to if I am not attending that convention. IMHO, that is just plain dishonest.

Ah, I called the 800 number, and the person I spoke to said that yes, I could buy the tickets even if I wasn't going to the convention.

So sorry, Ms. Selfrighteous. Rest assured, I'm sure you are just as honest as the day is long at ALL times in ALL things. Of course you are. And a far better person than me, that's for sure. Just look at all the junk on your postings - you're SOMEbody.

KC,
who will now totally refrain from posting, because she's not worthy, evidently.

Which part of this escaped you? "Notice: Use of this form is restricted to registered attendees of a meeting or convention at Walt Disney World® Resort."
I called two numbers (no 800 listed anywhere I could find) and spoke with two different people who said it is, indeed, restricted to convention guests and family members. Also added, that verification of meeting/convention participation is required, just like in the pdf file.
I am not self righteous, I just don't want to see anyone here lose money because they ordered tickets this way and could not use them. They are only good for 10 days after first use, for a few dollars more, they can buy passes that never expire.
As to the rest of your post, I don't address child like temper tantrums.

Disney is one of the web sites that comes up from the google search. I called them and indeed anyone can order these tickets from Disney.
They don't require proof of conference because these tickets get used by family members of attendees and so they wouldn't typically have proof of conference registration.
Personally, as someone who only usually needs 2 day passes - this is the best way to go. Its cheaper than buying 2 -1 day passes.

Typical for disney, 6 people can ask the same question and get 6 different answers. I would err on the side of caution and not risk it.
