discount tickets

My dh will be at a conference in florida next week. He has been given the chance to buy Disney tickets at 10% off
I have read the fine print and it says tickets must be used by 12-31-16. I called Disney and was told they prefer if I use tickets during conference
Has anyone bought tickets like this before?
The conference is in May and we would travel in September. Do you think it would be ok to use tickets?

These usually aren't upgradable... so make sure they fully fit your needs as is for whenever you plan to use them.
