There's a lot of good advice on here about buying quality that will last but I wanted to point out something else.
My dd(6) has to wear a uniform for public school. I don't mind paying more for quality, but at dd's age, she outgrows clothes before they can really get worn out. I found some really great deals last year at Old Navy and The Childrens Place for khaki pants and solid polos. Since we live in FL, my dd wore her short-sleeved shirts all year and they still look great, but since she has grown another size they will have to be replaced.
I didn't see how old your grandkids are but if they are still growing fast, I would definitely recommend Old Navy and TCP. Also Justice if you have girls, my dd loves their clothes.
Boy is 8 and girl is 5...so will check all places mentioned for bargains

ps..wow the cookies place looks awesome!
PSS..BEWARE COOKIESKIDS!!! I just spent an hour TWO different times..taking forever with their poorly designed 'return to shopping" button finding three outfits for each kid, setting up account (TWICE) and then account would not recognize me (even though it sent me a 'welcome' email), THEN fighting through it AGAIN, getting to check out page (after signing up AGAIN and it not recognizing log in) and it kept charging me shipping, even though on the uniform page it said FREE shipping on ANY Uniform order over $49 (mine was well over that). Customer service is CLOSED and the email I sent them BOUNCED..so will be looking elsewhere..most frustrating.
