Discount rates for people without APs?

How likely is it that there will be discount rates on resorts for people without APs, AAA discounts, etc. I'm especially interested in May and October. Do they release regular discount rates when they release the AP rates?

I have never booked racked rate and have always gotten a room only discount at really great rates when I go at the end of August. You have to keep watching this board and mousesavers.com to stay up to date on codes that are released whenever Disney decides to release them.

I have an AAA rate for April 18th, 6 nights...right now, from looking at the historical prices of AP's and the rate that people are now getting with the disney visa...my rate is cheaper than those in the long run for me. I already have a 5 day PH and even if I upgraded a child's parkhopper, the room rate would have to be $27.00 per night cheaper INCLUDING tax, which I doubt will happen...that would make the room/tax price at ASM be 62.00 per night....last years AP rate for these dates was 69.00 plus tax.

I'd call and book your May dates now with an AAA rate.
