Discount on room with DP

If I am able to get either the AAA or the Florida Resident discount for a stay, will I have to give up the discount for the Dp? I'm trying to budget and due to timing, I don't want to pay a buttload. Thanks

Yes it will be one or the other.

Yes, lost out AAA room discount last year when the free DDP was offered. There was much more value in the free DDP then the AAA discount so we went for the free dining.

Are you asking about free dining or just adding DDP to make your ressie a package?

If you want a AAA rate with DDP you will need to book trough AAA. I think if you get a Florida resident rate you will be able to add the DDP without buying a 1 day ticket.

is everyone sure that you don't get the AAA rate and the free dining? AAA is not a promo, its a rate that AAA acutally pays for, Disney does not lose money on AAA members, AAA pays the difference..........2005 we got the AAA rate and the free dining. We booked room only package and added free dining when it came out and the price did not go up, we kept our entire AAA package price. for those who say they lost the discount, did your AAA TA tell you this or disney? It will be harder to get what you want if you wait for AAA on 4/10 since most don't open till 10am.......

We did loose the discount in 07 we were already booked and had the room discount and when we added the free dining we lost the room discount. The AAA TA called Disney to revise the reservation and they said no 2 discounts. But maybe there are some agents that know haw to get around this but we didn't have the 2 discounts. Also in 06 and coming up with the bounce back 08 we are only getting the free DDP not the room discount.
But I would aso like to know if some others can get it and how to do it.

I will be able to get the FL Res rate, but would be willing to give that up for free dining, but don't want to have to buy 3 adult MYW tickets as I already have our tickets. We have never had the dining plan so I guess not being able to get it for free, we won't know what we are missing. I hate to not get something for FREE though

Can't you save and not use the 3 MYA tickets to put towards purchace of next years Fla resident pass?

It's possible to get a package discount with paid DDP, but not with the "free dinining" promotion.

Yeah, I guess I could, I really need to try to figure out if it would be worth it. We normally just eat counter service like once a day, eat breakfast in the room then usually just a burger, as myself and my son are really picky eaters. Guess I need to crunch some numbers.
