We got a good rate at CR for $164 a night (wing). The catch is that we had to book staring on Dec 25 but we won't actaully be arriving until the 26th. The difference in what we would pay if we were paying for the 26th would be around $300 a night. We will be there for 8 nights but will be paying for 9. It is worth it to pay for the extra night that we won't actually be there.
Has anyone ever done this or heard of this? Our reservation is paid in full through Expedia. Any suggestions? Do you think this will work? I figure I'm paying for it so what's the difference?
I would appreciate any comments......

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful with that. If you don't showup on 12/25 WDW can (and most likely will) cancel your reservation for you being a no-show, regardless if you've prepaid the reservation. I'd verify with someone at WDW travel that this can be done, since I don't think it can.
