Discount offered after trip is booked?

My friend who is not on Dis is going to WDW for Easter week & staying at Poly. I just emailed her to let her know that the discounts were opened for Easter week which was originally blackout dates.

If she calls when she gets home from work, will Dis. give her the discount or gift card offer? The discount would be 35% off which is huge!

Is it a hassle to apply a discount to an already made reservation? Will it affect her ADRs?

I have never stayed on property so I have no experience with this.

She absolutely can call and ask them to apply the discount. I would have her call ASAP because once all the rooms for that discount are gone, they're gone...even though she already has a room booked there

It's not a hassle at all the apply the discount. We do it all the time when a better offer comes along
