Discount at SSR

If SSR is selling so well, why the new extra 6.25 per point off? Do sales sag right before Christmas (my guess) or is somthing else on the horizon? Any speculation?

I believe Tammy posted in another thread that it is 15% and to get the discount you have to get 120 points or more. So it ends up being about $14.70 off instead of $8 off.

Of course this is only speculation, but I recall others mentioning that DVC got a decent marketing budget. My thinking is that it is supply and demand, thus after the summer travel season DVC sales probably drop off some. Supply is plentiful, demand is limited so lower the price and increase the marketing to boost sales. It is also a good time to target members for add-ons... this is afterall some of the busiest times for DVC members to visit. F&W, then thanksgiving, then December!

And although no one knows for sure, I'm positive that there will be more DVC resorts... not a matter of if, but when and where. The sooner they get SSR closer to sell-out, the sooner they can proceed with the next one.

Since the 15% deal is limited to current DVC members and people they refer, I'm not sure it will sell out that quick. But ya never know!!!
