DISBOARDS v. DISNEY CORPORATE

I remember one time on another Disney board we were some movie or tv show and just how bad it looked. I think it might have been Old Dogs. Someone maybe a publicist from Disney had been reading and instead of addressing our concerns it was like, "Hey check out so and so on Jimmy Kimmel." "Or don't forget blank opens tomorrow." It was rather clueless

I might be wrong, but I'd like to believe last year when adding the presence of lifeguards on DCL was well argued on the Dis, it did play a factor in the decision by corporate to add them. I don't need a direct response to issues raised, but improvements in programming as a result of reviews on the Dis are certainly appreciated.

Maybe foolishly, I believe they have to put some weight into the insights of their loyal fan base represented by the Dis. How awesome it is for them to get this feedback daily for free??

What I would love to know is how they are viewing the strong negative feedback on FP+. It's got to make someone nervous, even though profits still are robust for the time being.

For me. the first time ever, I've got a unsettled feeling when anticipating my next trip to WDW. Not the "can't wait, dying to get there" feeling I have had my whole life. That's significant for a lifelong fan of Disney. I don't expect them to respond to a post - just make it better ASAP. If they don't, I do think the money will talk as it walks away.

I think it would be foolish to assume that ANY company does not have insiders on a forum that discusses its products. It's free market research.

I recently had a WDW survey question that asked where I had first heard about something (can't remember what it was now, but I think FP+) and one of the answers was "disboards.com," which tickled me. It didn't mention any other websites by name. (This was an official Disney survey emailed to me after my last visit.) So yeah, definitely on their radar!
