Disboards - clean up your ads!

I rarely start a thread, but this has been bugging me. I don’t know who decides what ads are on a page, but I keep seeing almost pornographic ads. Women in see through or revealing tops, suggestive ads. This is minor compared to what’s really important these days, but I’d rather not see them. It’s not an algorithm issue because I’m 75 and never go on sites like this.

I understand they need to run the board/make money, etc. It is a business but the ads/type of ads and pop ups are out of hand and extremely annoying.

The ads are for clothes and not exactly "those sites" but I agree that I have seen a few that are pretty innapropriate lately.

For a family friendly board, the ads that show up are not right. I've seen a whole lots of butts in the last year or so, and I'm not liking it very much

If you see an inappropriate ad, take a screenshot so I can block it. I'm probably not seeing the same ads that others are seeing.

Webmaster Corey. This is one at the bottom of the page. Hope you can see it. This one is minor and jiggles.

I saw one that was a video ad. I didnt screenshot it since it would've felt very wrong to do that, thats how inappropriate the ad was. I was shocked. So I just exited the site quickly to get it off my screen.

I just added an ad-free upgrade option.

You will find it under your user profile. Both monthly and annual plans are available.

In April, I will add an ad-blocker detector. If you use an ad blocker, you will see the option to disable it or upgrade.
