Disaster !!

weve just been notified by our travel agent that our 2nd week choice of hotel on grand bahamas has ben closed down because of the hurricane damage !!
we are no trying to re-arange the 2dn week of our trip,not easy as we had arranged my mums 60th birthday around this week including swimming with dolphins
life is just never easy is it !!

Have you thought about the Keys? there are three dolphin swim places on the Keys/ some lovely villas for rent also, oceanfront.

none of the rest of our party want to stay in the us for the 2nd week ( clearwater or st petes was an option) i however as a completed disney addict already wanted to stay in orlando for the whole 2 weeks ( quickly vetoed by the others,spoilsports!) so we are of to the travel agents in the morning with 4 options
1) another hotel on grand bahama island that is currently closed but will re-open in time and hopefully wont be full

2) a hotel in jamaica ( ive been there and they are nowhere near any hurricanes!! also is a direct flight home rather than flying back into orlando and then out to gatwick.

3&4) two hotels in barbados

all of these options are all-inclusive as that is what mum originally booked and really wants to do
so now we just need to see what is available and how much more its going to cost
i phoned unexso tonight who we booked the dolphin swim with and she said the beachfront is devestated but the island is ok further in
to say mum is gutted is a total understatement
i will let you all know tomorrow what we end up booking
