Disappointment at Trail's End

My wife and I had our fifth annual Thanksgiving dinner at Trail's End. It's become our tradition, as we think the food is OK, and the Fort seems the perfect Thanksgiving atmosphere. But we have really enjoyed the tasty whole pumpkin pie they would give you, with some to take home:

Well, in the latest cost-cutting tradition, this was the new dessert, pumpkin cheesecake. (Our waitress said she likes it better, because it's less work for her.)

Why don't good things ever last? The waitress said it was the chef's decision. Sounds like a bean counting chef. We asked her to pass on our disappointment, but she said they never listen to us.

Thanks, Dave. Actually our waitress was very nice. And while we were eating, another waitress came over, all excited, to say Hi to us. She used to work at B&C, and remembered us as regular customers. She was so sweet, gave my wife a . It's great when you get to know some very friendly cast members. She helped us forget the pie!

I have a theory that Disney pays ALL the chefs according to their counting beans.
Since Disney gives away food, they don't wanna give away food.
Sucks for the man that pays outta pocket, still pay'n primo $ for less primo product.

Anytime you are disappointed by something at any restaurant, even at Disney, please express your disappointment to the manager. Too few people do this. I had a talk with the restaurant manager at Wilderness Lodge last week and she made things right.

Pumpkin cheesecake

Next thing you know they will serve chicken & dressing for TG to save a buck or two. TE is off my TG list for now.
