I see the schedule for Thursday October 6th and there is no fireworks listed even though DL is open till midnight. We won't be there on Saturday and will be really bummed if we don't get to see them. Could that change? or do you think all hope is lost?

I am sorry to tell you this, but they do not do Firworks on "School Nights". Since Oct. 6 is a Thursday it is not going to happen. So sorry.

Disneyland often does have fireworks on school nights--but not in what they consider "off season". So they will have them nightly around Spring break, for the Christmas Season, and then start up again for the summer season. They do have them for Halloween season, but often it is on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Friday nights. And of course they have a special addition of fireworks for the Halloween party.

That is the trade off of going in the off season. Less crowds, but also less offerings of entertainment.

Fireworks are generally Friday, Sat., and Sunday. They MAY add fireworks Thursday, but chances are they won't. They will also have fireworks at the Halloween party on Tues nights.

It could change but off season weekdays usually do not have fireworks.

I checked 2010's schedules and there weren't fireworks on Thursdays. Just the MHP fireworks on party nights and "Dreams" on Sat/Sun. It may be the same this year. :sad2:

Thank you so much to everyone who responded!! We'll make the best of it...I always tear up hearing Walt and Julie's voices. I even tear up watching it on youtube. How weird am I!

I have seen a lot of fireworks shows, and this by far the best! Holding your kids and watching & listening to the show together are moments in life you don't forget.

Had to break the news to the wife about Pirates and Screamin being closed...now no fireworks!

Thanks again guys!
