Disappointed - Polynesian construction

OP--I hope you saw this post. I completely agree with @DLgal.

If they can't find a room for you in a quiet location at the Poly (is there one right now?) then ask to move to another comparable resort. They should be able to do this for you. And, as others have said, you should speak to a manager.

Please let us know what happens.

DVC side is quiet. Stayed there in May and didn’t hear it.

Just stayed in DVC Moorea, didn’t hear a thing, not even a ferry. Awesome that you can use Hey Disney to put on some background soundscapes as well if neighbours having a party

I always avoid any resort that has construction going on. I'm not paying full price not to enjoy the entire resort and to see and hear construction. I don't have to worry about the Poly, I'll never stay there again after what they have done to the most beautiful place on Disney property!

Hmmm. Well. Booked there over Halloween. Threads like this give me pause.

Not that I will have a problem sleeping. I can sleep through anything so long as I am not jacked up on 10 espressos. Here in CA if its a moderate earthquake that wakes me up I just say 'whatever' and quickly go back to sleep.

A 'resort' view there can mean anything really I figure. Dont really know which rooms/buildings that category fits into as opposed to 'standard'. One of the resort view descriptions is 'monorail view' which in a way would actually be pretty cool. Though having a view of a major construction site right outside would be a disappointment.

Had a 'water view' at the Grand Destino tower last time which was nice. Thought about the other moderate resorts like Port Orleans but either Poly or GF had that extra appeal and amenities not to mention much better transportation options. So I splurged. $$$ but no regrets,
