Disappointed in Spring/Summer Discounts

Planning on going the last week of June. I'm shocked that the new 25% off room discounts only go up to June 18th. I guess I will have to bite the bullet, book, and hope some summer offers come along. I was really wishing for the 5 for 3 to be back this year. I know we won't be back to DLR anytime soon, so staying onsite and getting those Magic Mornings are important---not to mention the extra crowds that may be there for the new attractions.

My understanding is that it's just a smidge too early for the summer specials to be posted yet. Looking back to last year's posts it appears the rates were released around the beginning of April. So we're almost there!

Does that usually include the last week of may? the only decent deal I have found is through Costco, buy 2 nights & get the 3rd one free, but it's only for goodneighbor hotels.

Any idea?

I too, have been waiting for the Summer discounts. I'm concerned with their latest 25% discount offer. Last year (and the year before that) they were released around March 15. I know this since I have my email confirmations for the 3 for 5 offers from the past two years that I saved - both years it was offered around the second or third Monday of March. So I'm really hoping they come up with something better than the 25% off hotel rooms!!! Otherwise we will not be able to afford to stay onsite this year.

The AP rate is AWESOME right now - 40% off so book that if you have 'em. We got GCH for $266/night in May (with one night each at $312 and $401). But the first half of June is currently at $266 and the second half is $312. That is better than the Spring special offer, right?

Is there a mailing list I could join so if the summer offers do pop, I can know right away? I'm another one hoping for the 5 for 3 for our July trip! I would seriously much prefer to stay on-site.

If you're going in the summer it might be good to book as early as possible and then add the discounts later on. One of our friends booked before discounts were posted and they gave her a free character breakfast or something similar. If you book early you get better room selections, which is helpful because summer is a very popular time to go.

And (I'm not sure if this applies to you, but it's good to put out there) the prices for fuel are going up. We booked our room and airfare for our September trip last month for 5 people and the price has already increased! We would have to pay around $185 more if we waited until now to book our flights... and who knows how much more it will go up in the coming months?

We only need one night (July 10) at any one of of the 3 hotels and then our DVC ressies will kick in. We will go to DL once more within the year and so I'm deciding if one or more AP's would be worth it this time around.

We find the Deluxe AP is valuable(hate the term worth it) to us for this year since we are going twice within the calender year. It does save us money that we will probably use for club 33 again if I can get my friend to make reservations when the time comes.

I didn't find the spring special offer to be too bad, it just saved me over $600.00 on our 4 day stay in May, during POTC4 premier. We are unable to change our dates, so I just had them add the discount, making our conceirge room a reasonable price for us.
