I have been searching and searching the reservations on the Disney site for an Ohana around 7:00 with no luck for the week of October the 14th. Anyone going to cancel one by any chance :rotfl: I could get a reservation on the 15th for 4 people but we dont need that for 4. I was just checking to see if it was the number of people I was searching for and I guess it is. Why do they have seats for 4 and not for 3 ? Do they use the same reservations system if I call or will there be more of chance of getting one that way ?

How many people are in your party?

Take the res for 4 and when you check in just let the hostess know that there are only 3 of you. It's a credit card guarantee res, but as long as part of the group checks in, you won't be charged for the 4th person.

The Disney dining website has problems with odd numbers. It will show 4 available and not 3 because the system is looking to fill as many seats as possible so go ahead and try for 4 if 3 doesn't work.

You can book a reservation for more than your party and just call to have them adjust it. I've done this several times including recently getting an 'Ohana reservation for 6 and only needing it for 3 :).

Ok that is great I will go ahead and get one for four :thumbsup2 then call. I didnt know they would do that, I figured they would search for a table for 3 and say there are none available lol

That's good to know. I need to reduce the people on a CP ressie. I've called a few times and they keep telling me I have to cancel and rebook (can't keep ressie time/date). I'll just keep calling back till I get someone that knows how to do it. Thanks.

If the dining line CMs keep telling you that you'll have to cancel and re-book when all you want to do is reduce the number of people on your res, just let the host/hostess CM know when you check in at the restaurant that there fewer in your party. CP is a credit card guarantee res, but according to the Dining FAQs on the Disney site, as long as some of your party shows up, you will not be charged for the missing people. Here's the FAQs and the relevant one is near the bottom:

Well I just called and had no trouble changing it :cheer2::cheer2: The reservation is for 8:40 but that is better than after 9:00 .

Yep, thanks but I'd like to change it anyway. The ressie is for 7 and I only need 2 (don't ask). It's our first before park opening ADR, and I'm worried about being charged $70 if we accidentally oversleep. I'm OK with $20, but not $70. I've been looking for a different ADR online for 2 weeks and I'm just tired & need to stop worrying about it.

Btw, if I do cancel it or if tables open up from my change I'll be sure to post it on the Nov. cancelations thread. Thanks anyway :)
