I think they're from Germany and they're great when you have really little kids too, Ellie put one up her nose once, took ages to get it out and only just missed a trip to ER. :rotfl2: Tonight we made Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella, very German :rotfl2:

That reminds me, my girlfriend's son put a banana runt up his nose and they had to go to the dr. to get it removed and all the way home he kept complaining that he smelled bananas.

Was really sick this week. Went to the Dr and it's all viral. Lucky for me. I get to suffer.

Snow storm tuesday night closed down everything.

Glad they are back in school today.

They changed my due date to Aug 24th. So I have the option of having my c-section Aug 10th which is Zach's birthday or the 13th. Call me superstitious, but I don't want to have a baby on the 13th.

So, I guess two kids share a birthday.

Hope everyone is well!

I had to read two days worth of post, so I'm sure I missed something...but here it goes

DizneyDawn I have laughed my butt off over the Baylor stories. My Mogan is still pretty inocent for 13 and she still loves her Mama best, but two nights ago she spent over an hour on MySpace IMing back and forth with some BOY that she is friends with and whom she likes, but is clueless!!! So I am dealing with the other end of this...thanks for the stories - I can't wait to let her read these tonight!

And I want to send you lots of :grouphug: and prayers for you to get healthy soon!

MaMabearJo :welcome:

Wonders - so what's up with the HS buddy?!?! Any new news? Inquiring minds want to know! :rotfl:

Lynda - thanks for sharing the pictures of the snow and the new baby! We just have cold here for no stinking good reason! I would love to see some white stuff for all the trouble!

Jo - WWWWOOOOO HHHOOOTTTYYY on the 1000 posts!

Grumpy - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!! You don't look a day over 37!!!

I am sitting here in my brand new office chair that DH gave me last night for Valentine's along with some beautiful pink tulips! Go DH!:cool1:

I know a chair doesn't sound exciting, but my other one wouldn't stay up. It would keep falling down inch by inch. So now I can DIS in comfort! :cloud9:

I think that is a wonderful V-Day gift! Everyone should be so lucky to get such a thoughtful and personal gift!

Happy Valentine's Day Peeps!

Now more serious matters. I really need your support. I just made the appt to get my wisdom teeth yanked on Friday. I feel better knowing that it will be taken care of. But I'm also very very nervouse about it. I will be having IV sedation and I think I'm gonna be asleep if not pretty darn near close. I'm very scared about it.

But I can't chat anymore. Have to get ready to go to school.

I had 3 cut out a few years back. I had the twilight sleep too. I woke up once (don't worry, I didn't feel anything when I did...it was more like dream waking up) and I remember asking the surgeon could I see the tooth he had just pulled. I'm sure it sounded more like "cccahvahhaljlj ahldjflkajsdlkfjl alhdfklajsdflkjdlf????" but he figured out what I was saying and showed it to me. Pretty cool. Afterwards you get good drugs so you don't feel it much. Get some bags of frozen peas to put on your face...they really work cause they mold to your cheeks.

Peyton(DS9) gave me two Reeses cups and told me he loved me.He has traded all of his candy at school for these because he knows they are my favorite. Every smushed bite was delicious.HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

That boy is going to make someone very lucky one day! What a sweetie!!!

My sister's friend did that with a Skittle once...I just wonder what posses people to stick candy in their nose???:sad2:

Has any one tried those Sugar Free Mini Reeses Cups?!?!
Are they any good? :confused3

Happy Birthday Grumpy!!!:cool1: I guess I'll have to have a piece of cheesecake in your honor! ;)

Happy thursday and HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRUMPY!

So far a decent day here, but a cold one. I am very proud of myself though. I have resisted the temptation to go buy all the left over valentines candy at 75% off. I saw it in 3 stores today and just kept walking. That is major for me. I love a bargain, so it practically killed me, but I did it! :cool1:

Coming from a fellow dental work wimp, you will be fine. I am the worst...seriously. They have to give me laughing gas just for a cleaning. And I had all my wisdom teeth out and an abcess tooth all at once. No problems. I did doze off and it was fantastic sleep. The pain pills arent bad either ;) I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Bring some headphones with you if you want to. I have done that for regular appointments. I find the noises are part of what make me so anxious. Unfortunately since they are drilling inside your head, they dont drown out all the noise.

When Joshua was born they were supposed to have induced on 9-11. Because of Katrina wo moved it to the 14th. So I so understand not wanting the 13th. I think my due date is October 12th. Will go to Dr. on March 7th and see what they say. Good luck with everything. My b-day is August 9th.

What a great gift for your son! :cool1:
However, my sister hated me when Mom brought me home from the hospital on her 5th b'day! (I don't think she's forgiven me yet!) :confused3
Luckily your son is older!

My kids b-days are 9-5, 9-14, 9-24. Since I know that they are going to induce we are going to see if they can the last of September. That way all of them are in September. It all depends if he is working that weekend or not. He does not like to induce before 38 weeks (not that I would want to) and this would put us 38 wks and 2 days. Because of DH work schedule is why we induce. I want him there if at all possible and not out of town. He does not get to pick and choose when he is gone from August - March.

Aldsineygl love the chair and love the tulips very sweet thats a keeper one that pays atttention to things, WTG to your DH!!

Ok heres a pathetic thought, was thinking wow, if I go to dentist and get some work done, that means I would get some nice sleep without the sound of snoring in the backround!!!

I thought that very same thing!!!!
Like a little vacation!

Come home and take pain pills and hang a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my nose!!!!

A NAP!!!! I would do anything for an UNDISTURBED nap! I haven't had a nice nap for 17years!

dene – You re not alone in your aloneness! If it helps any, I’ve been sad all week about no longer having a partner in life. NOT that I ever want the old partner back, mind you – good riddance! But I haven’t even had a date in 3 years and it’s beginning to hit my self-confidence a bit. So I’m taking drastic action today….. with a hair appointment! Nothing like a new ‘do to kick up the self-confidence, eh?!:rotfl:

ACCOUNTABILITY: I’m sick. Again. But I did manage 20 sit-ups last night, until I started coughing too much to continue. Maybe I’ll lose a few pounds just from the extra calories burned through coughing?

V - Please show us pictures of your "new do". Also take care of yourself. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Fidge, I think he is a keeper. Actually he is better to me than I am to him. :sad2: He is so thoughtful. He is very observant, much more than I am. I am very blessed to have him in my life. He is always making sure that everything is in "balance" and that the burden is not weighted to far in one direction.

I had some of my varicose (sp?) veins worked on last year, and the Dr. gave me some really good drugs. ;) I had to stay awake for the procedure, and it hurt at times, but the meds made me not care. ;) :rotfl: It was some of the best sleep I had ever gotten.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRUMPYOLDGUY!!!!!:dancer: Look! It is Grumpy getting down!party: :bday: :cake: :rockband:

It is even cold in Mississippi - but not as cold as where most of you are! Sending you some warmth!

You and your family are in my prayers. I am so sorry for the cross you have to bear, but remember you are not alone. Your kids are lucky to have you and are growing into more compassionate, capable people because of their love for you (How do I know? Because DH has cerebral palsy, and has suffered through many setbacks and dramas during our children's lifetimes, and our kids are the sweetest, most compassionate young adults I know, and I think a lot of that is because they have always known that love is about giving and doing as much as receiving). OK, sermon's over. I hope things improve soon, and that you can hang onto your lovely sense of humor in the midst of this.

Love you all. Take care.

I agree with all that you said! It was a great sermon!

WOOOHOOOOTY, DISNEYJO!!!!!

Good Morning! It's a NEW DAY!!!!! :goodvibes

Good to see you Glenda! I have missed you!

It will all be okay. This "twilight anesthesia" sounds great! Have you heard from your high school friend!?

Alright, got to go back to work!

I found a new really yummy treat!! Blue Bunney fruit smoothie popsicles. There's only @ 50 calories and no fat! Yipee! I just had a peach one and it was really good. Now I just have to keep myself from eating the other 11.:lmao: I was good at walmart, I avoided the easter section. My cart kept trying to drive itself over there but I wouldn't let it. I love easter candy!!!! My fav is the cadbury eggs, not the ones with the gooey center, but the little chocolate ones with hard candy shells.............ohhhhhhhh they're so good. But I knew that if I saw them I would buy them, and if I bought them then I would eat most of the bag myself.:sad2: And I didn't want to undo any good I did at jazzercise today.:cheer2:

:dance3: Happy Birthday Grumps!:dance3:

Were yours the small "spiders" or were they the larger ones that kind of stick out for lack of a better word? Just wondering 'cuz I have some of the stick out kind on one of my ankles that I'm going to want to get fixed. What did they do to you?
