Disability Pass?

Someone recently mentioned to me that when she took her autistic son to Disney three years ago there was a pass that she got for her son that he wore around his neck to signal to cast members that he had a disability. Can anyone tell me if this is something Disney still does? How does this work? My son is also special-needs so I was wondering if this was something I should look into for him or if it wasn't really necessary. Thanks!

Check out the FAQs at the top of the page. there is something called a GAC, which helps people with invisible needs, such as autism. It is not a front of the line pass or designed to shorten waits.

People here with children with needs similar to yours can tell you about their experiences with the GAC.

It is a card, and I know some people wear it around their neck, but its does not come on a lanyard or something...

Thank you, that was very helpful!
We're not looking for a front of the line pass or anything (we picked January in hopes of smaller crowds and I'm putting together a touring plan to keep waits to a minimum) but just wanted to be sure we covered all of the bases to best meet the needs of our son.
