I was under the impression that only the valet parking fee was waived for guests with handicap tags and that regular resort parking still has a fee? Since Value Resorts don't have valets, everyone including those with handicap tags pay. Or am I just nderstanding the website incorrectly?

I agree that the website in no way implies that regular parking is free for those with handicapped tags.

As far as I have been able to find this was info put out there by blogger sites and I have yet to see Disney state that the parking fee will be waived.

It would be nice if they did since they in no way have enough parking spots for all those with tags (they are legally in compliance but their demographics attracts more than the average) so often we find ourselves parking farther out. BUT I would in no way expect it to waived since "industry standard" in ORLANDO is that they do not waive the fee. It is often waived by hotels in other cities we go to but have not had it waived in Orlando.

I'll be onsite in October so guess I'll find out in person.

I agree the website does not say parking is fee with an HA tag/plate. However, there was at least 1 poster back in the spring or early summer who received an email reply from WDW which stated self-parking is free with an HA tag/plate. I don’t believe anyone has given first-hand account after returning from a visit.

My advice — plan on paying, and maybe you’ll find it isn’t charged.

From 1st hand experiences of 4 people I know, each with multiple trips after they instituted the fee, my above statement is accurate.
