The first thread in this forum has lots of details about the DAS card. The key point is that it isn't the diagnosis that determines whether a DAS is issued, it's the need. You will need to articulate to the Guest Services what the needs are, and they will determine whether or not a DAS will meet those needs.

1) Doubtful.
2) I can't think of a reason why Type-1 needs assistance.
3) Maybe for waiting times, but one can get Fast Passes to circumvent that.
4) Or, be able to pre-plan for the wait time.
5) Of course, you can always ask for a DAS.

As a type 1 diabetic I have to agree with this. Use fastpasses to your advantage. Carry your meter and quick sugar with you. I have never been told I could not bring my capped coke with me on a ride when I explain why I have it. Also bring hard candy. If you feel you are starting to get low test in line. If anyone has a problem with it that is their problem not yours. You do what you need to keep in control. Be sure to stay well hydrated. Dehydration is not good for us. Carry you glucogen and insulin with you if needed. I keep all of mine in a Mickey cell phone case except for the bottle of coke. Meter, strips, insulin, syringes, lancet device with a clean lancet, glucose tablets and hard candy. I clip it to my belt or hang it around my neck. Large eye glass case works well too.
