Love the pics of your kitties! We have 4 furbabies: Pounce, Sneeze, Paisley, and Louie. All indoor-only due to the abundance of wildlife around here that would view them as a snack.

I officially start my job tomorrow!

It will be a long week. Unfortunately, the first two weeks are just meetings and trainings. I hate them! They wear me out! I would much rather get to my actual job that starts on the 29th. But DH keeps telling me I will get paid, so quit complaining!

I was accidentally sent an email to come to a meeting Friday afternoon. I showed up and stayed for the duration, but was completely confused as to why I was there. Towards the end, the person in charge came over and said, "I think I know what happened, you were not supposed to be on this particular list but you were. Just stay, as I think it is good information, but you didn't have to be here." UGH!

It is blazing hot here. I almost can't tolerate it. Yesterday a friend had an outdoor party. It was shaded, but I still had a hard time. Thankfully, it looks like later this week will start cooling down and getting into the mid 80s. Still too hot for me, but far more tolerable than 98 plus high humidity.

Congrats on starting the job! I know what you mean about meetings, they drive me batty!

We have been having a heat wave here as well. Yesterday we hid inside the house and hardly went outside at all.

I got a ton of stuff done though, laundry, putting away cat food, dishes, updating TRs, and more that I don't even remember. Today will probably be a busy one as well.

We'll be over 100 degrees today so I'll be staying inside. I'm working on laying out our itinerary for our upcoming trip.

Heat index near 100* here in NH today..... Blech. Just got home from work. My job has me indoors and out (and most indoor has no a/c) so I am ready to peel off these clothes, hop in the shower, and sit down in my cold bedroom and do some planning!

Been hot here, too. Last couple days have "moderated" somewhat, but I'm anxious for a true cool down at this point. July was absolutely brutal....

We have been hiding in our AC as well. I'm going out for a few days at the parks. I think it might do me in! I'm going to be careful about not over doing it. However I do want to finally see Soarin over the world.

Also the tell me that our pool will be up and running bh next Saturday. I'll believe that when I see it!

I had my first surgery on Thursday, so I've been at home recovering. Have fun at the parks! Don't push yourself too hard! What happened to your pool?

We needed serious repairs. We knew the jacuzzi had leaks since the last pool company we had but they never did anything to fix it or even give us estimates to start work on it.

When we switched pool maintenance companies they actually acknowledged it and in March, we had the first meeting. It took until may to get the estimate and the last week in June they drained the pool. Since then we have been without our pool. However it was sort of useless as it had no heater other than the sun. It's not hot enough here that the sun can heat the pool. So we put in a heater. They also fixed the cracks and will replaster the pool.

Yeah, supposedly we're supposed to be swimming in it by next weekend. I will believe it when I see it.
