DIS Meet before Destination D - 08/10

Will anyone else be at Destination D in a few weeks?

My husband and I are coming from Oregon - would LOVE to meet up with our favorite podcasters - name the time and place!

My first choice is always Trader Sam's.

If last Destination D is any indication, lunch and dinner breaks are a madhouse, because everyone in there is trying to eat at once.

Maybe Friday night BEFORE the event or we wait until the schedule is finalized and see how late it will go on Saturday night?

I still have the schedule for the 2010 Destiantion D on my iPhone!

Lunch was from 12 -2 each day. Dinner on Saturday was from 5:45 to 8:30 and from 4:45 to 7 on Sunday. Saturday ended at 10 pm and Sunday ended at 9:30 pm. With movies scheduled for after the concerts each night this year, I would expect it may not end until close to Midnight.

The doors were scheduled to open about a half hour prior to those times. Many people got in line to get back in as soon as they left and some left one presentation early to get in line for the next! We soon realized that there were plenty of seats (unless you needed to be front and center) and arrived just a few minutes before the presentation started. -- Suzanne

Just curiously-for the breaks are you looking for food around DLH or do they have it right there? We are not going to the event but are staying there, and I'm trying to figure out if we should be avoiding anything.

They may have some pre-prepared sandwiches, etc., but many will spread out around the DLH and that end of DTD.

It's Disney...I'm sure there are no happy hour discounts.

Let's say Friday, August 10th at around 7pm at Trader Sam's. That gives people the option of having dinner before or during.
