DIS Meet at Boardwalk Bakery - Dan Murphy & SSB Call it a "Wash"

Very beautiful day in Lake Buena Vista and at the Lemonade stand ... about 80 degrees still as SSB writes this!!!

SSB was able to escape the morning for a very nice "DIS Meet" at the Boardwalk Bakery. Was able to spend some great moments with:

Dan Murphy
Snuggles
Tuffcookie
Mum4Jen

And spouses and childen that Dan is way better at remembering the names of, than poor old SideshowBob. We sat at a table in the sun, just overlooking the lake ... really wonderful view and great conversations we had.

Dan explained his and SSB's "contest", also known as "The Contest" as we compete to see who has met/will meet the most DIS'ers !!! We decided that we had to call today a "wash" as we were both there...

Mr. SSB …when we go to WDW we make it a point to stop by Boardwalk Bakery every morning. (the parks can wait…I need my muffin and cup o joe) We get “good stuff” and sit down at those red tables by the lake. (hope you didn’t sit at the table that had “Jersey City, NJ rules!” scratched into it)

What about those annoying birds? We never feed them…why do people throw crumbs to them.? It’s bad enough that they fly over and try to steal off of your plate. (I guess they think they are all hot stuff because of their staring roles in “The Birds”) Why don't they go over to Universal?

Next time you are at the Bakery please drop some crumbs down to my two turtle friends. My sons always get a big kick out of seeing them. My little one almost fell over the railing looking for them. I told my son’s that I let a turtle loose in WDW on my first trip back in the 70’s..and the two turtles in the lake are their ancestors.

Great that you guy’s enjoyed your mini DIS meet…but if I were you I would check to see if my wallet was still in my Bermuda shorts. (Dan didn’t get the nickname of “sticky fingers” just for eating sticky buns..you know)

I wish I was there!!!! I have yet to meet either Dan or SSB. I always chicken out when I'm there, and don't look for SSB at the lemonade stand. When I had the chance to meet, I also chickened out. When I'm there in September, my big goal is to meet SSB.

I hope you all had fun. Sounds like a beautiful morning. It's a little cloudy and cool here in Colorado. Only five months and I'll be enjoying that view.

It was great seeing you again Mr. SSB. It was also great meeting some new people and having some of Tuff Cookies cookies. Mum4Jenn only lives an hour from me. She and her family were very nice. It has been a long day and we just got home. I suppose the washing machine is calling my name.....

I've had the great pleasure of meeting SSB but not Dan (hope to some day)! So SSB I've done my part towards you winning "The Contest"!

In fact just the other day, I can't remember why it came up, but my 15 yr. old DS remarked that SSB was a "cool guy". You gotta be good to impress a teenager!!!
