I guess now I need to get to planning where to stay and all...anyone staying at POP this time?

AP rates for that time frame will probably come out towards the end of this month.

I'm fine with Pop. Its cheap. Even if there is no discount, its still doable. And I think we have a better chance of getting some of those who are on the fence, and you know who you are , if its kept inexpensive. I can do POR or POFQ though too if people want to do that. Whatever. I just hope we "gently convince" a few more to join us.

POP-preferred room for 6/1-6/3=272.26
POR for 6/1-6/3=438.76

I think I have to stick with POP and if an AP code comes out, all the better and I might be able to do one extra night, coming in on the 31st if I stay at POP. I have to come home on Sunday because of work.

Anyone else for POP??

I called and got a AAA rate set up just in case and it was $104 and some change a night after tax. I don't know if its preferred or not. I think not as he quoted me $109 with no discount at all. Isn't AAA usually like 15% off? The pre-tax rate for Pop was $94.

Tammy, if we set up a grand gathering, they should put us in a preferred section automatically and for free. I would just book a regular room and ask for the 50s section and hopefully you'd be upgraded to 60's or 50's preferred.

My room in January was overlooking the pool in the 50's section. And I think it was closer to the front than Joanne and Debbie's room.

Thanks Kat for the advice, I haven't booked yet, but from what you quoted the AAA will be cheaper than what I got. I will book like you said non preferred. I can call Disney and book the AAA room right? I'd rather not mess with an agent.

Oh and I just checked on airfare coming in on 5/31 and it looks to be a bit cheaper so I think I'll come in on Thurs and leave on Sun.

I am coming in June 1 - June 3 or I just maybe come in May 31st. But no matter what I will be leaving on the 3rd due to working Monday.

Tammy. I booked my room through a Disney agent, yes. And if an AP rate comes out, I will ask them to change it to that rate.

What time would you do the reservation at? If we come in Friday, we probably wouldn't make it. The boys would probably like either place though. (I should check those new kids menus...that might not be the case anymore. )

I am June 2-4. I have Monday off, not Friday.

I won't be committing to anything until I see what's going on. If I have flight problems on Saturday I won't make anything. And most everybody is leaving on Sunday which is my one full day.

Will just read and keep an eye out.
