DIS Ladies Only Trip 2007 WISH!

I guess I need to fess up that I am up 2 for the week. Time to get back into it.
 

Hi ladies. I am alive and well. Just busy as all get out trying to get my house and job in order before heading out of town. I am really hoping to keep the momentum and not mindlessly stuff my face while I am traveling.

So, back at it today. Off to make my smoothie!

Good luck this weekend everyone. I'll be traveling so I don't know how much I'll be around. I will be thinking thin thoughts for all of us!
 
Okay, I am peeking into this thread again.

I think since the beginning I have lost maybe 3 or 4 pounds. :rolleyes:

It is in the back of my mind, and I am trying to make some small changes, but I wish it was in the front of my mind, and I was making larger changes.

I wanted to be much further along than I am now. I seriously doubt anyone going in June will say "wow Jenna, I really notice that 5 pounds".:sad2:

I can list all sorts of excuses, work, kids, end of school, etc...but other people have these problems and still manage to loose weight.

I know these next few weeks will be crazy for me, so at this point, I am hoping to maintain, maybe loose a pound or two. And once I get back from the June trip, get to the Y everyday.

Exercise is such a key for me, if I would only do that, everything else would fall into place.

I'm sorry that I have not been here more cheering everyone else on.:flower3: I will try to get here more often to lift ya'll up even if things aren't going well for me.
 
Jenna, We all have set backs sometimes. :grouphug: Just keep trying and dont let yourself get discouraged to the point that you end up quiting what you are doing. It's nice to come here and read whether people post sucess or setbacks. Either way they make me forget about my own problems and setbacks. Try not to let the craziness get to ya. :teeth:

Thanks, ladies! I am just back. I kept the 100 calorie packs in the car and did not succumb to snacking on other things while on the drive. We stayed in 3 different hotels and each included some sort of breakfast. I stuck with cereal and fruit and stayed away from the eggs and meats. I did have a piece of rye toast with peanut butter one morning, but overall, I think I made good choices. We had pizza Friday night at my sister's and I stuck to 2 cheese slices. I wavered a bit at the party yesterday, and heated a leftover slice of pizza before hitting the road last night...I have not had dinner yet today, but other than cereal for breakfast and a few 100 calorie packs, I have not had anything today.

I have missed my smoothie routine in the mornings! Back at it tomorrow! Or, maybe I'll just have a smoothie for dinner.

Welcome back, Jenna:cheer2: Don't be disappointed with your 4-5 pounds. That is a great start. Congrats on making the small changes. One thing I did a lot while I waited for my son at football practice was to walk around the field while he had practice. That way I did not have to worry about getting back on time to pick him up, and I still got some exercise.
 
Welcome home Christine. Sounds like you did good.

Jenna, I know it doesn't seem like alot, and of course we all want to lose more, but you are still that much lighter than when we started and that's something to be proud of. I am trying to work in that workout myself. I know it will make a big difference.

Okay, so it is almost Monday. For those of us who faultered a bit over the weekend, we have a new week. Seems like much of the country will have good weather. Anyone want to take a walk with me??

I've got a sick kid @ home... I'm feeling a little under the weather. DH is going to be home later from work today. *sigh* Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Well, today was half a pound. I am done three since March. Its not much but you know, its something. I'm going to keep moving on and see what I can do.
