I think I did pretty good this weekend. Of course I was sick most of it, but I still did pretty good.
Kat, I hope that you and everyone here had a good weekend.I think I did pretty good this weekend. Of course I was sick most of it, but I still did pretty good.![]()

Its very hard for me to go at night but maybe I will just have to go when the kids are in bed. Of course everyone else and their brother will probably be there and undoubtedly I will be the fat one in the midst of the skinnies trying to work out.
Hi ladies. I think I did pretty well over the weekend. We went to a friend's house for pizza last night. I stuck to 2 pieces--one plain and the other with spinach and tomatoes. I had planned to have a can of soup until my friend called. But, usually I would have been in the 4-5 range on pieces of pizza. So, I guess not too bad.

. After my scare last week and ballooning up 3 pounds over my official start weight, I really had to get it together. Getting honest in my post really helped. I also took to heart what I had heard about # of daily calories for weight loss. I did my best to limit myself to about 1200 calories per day. I know the pizza day was likely more, but hey, it worked! I didn't really even feel deprived.Yeah Kat![]()

Yeah Wendy!![]()
I am going on a long road trip and will be driving each day Thurs-Sunday. Any ideas on what I can snack on in the car that will keep me on track with my goals? I am thinking of picking up some of those 100 calorie packs. Any other thoughts?
I like Nature Valley peanut butter granola bars, they come two to a pack. At 90 calories and 3.5 grams of fat each, one stays with me quite a while. I also like to carry individual packs of sunflower seeds with me, just a handful of those curbs my appetite.
I love road trips! Have fun!

I would suggest something like that as well. I like those kind of snacks and they seem filling enough to me.
Debbie...pick me up this weekend...let's go on a road trip.![]()

!
Have anything in mind?![]()
I like the granola bar idea too. I enjoy those peanut butter ones myself, although I have been known to spread peanut butter on one and top with the other!
I like the idea of a road trip, but this one is too far for the amount of time we have. Round trip will be 1600 miles and we only have 4 days. That's a lot of togetherness!![]()
I hear Kelli is having a party at the Olive Garden for her daughter's Communion! That should not be too much of a trip for you guys.
That is a long trip. Kind of reminds me of our trips to Rochester. DH's great aunt and uncle live up there and they like seeing the kids so we go up a few times a year. We drive up on Saturday, it's about an 8 or so hour drive. Get there around dinner time. Can't go to dinner since the kids are too riled up from 8+ hours in the car and don't want to sit and behave so we cook in room (kitchenette). Get everyone off to bed late and then sometimes Ryan and I will do takeout if we don't want the soup/oatmeal/cereal kind of stuff. Get ourselves to bed later than we should. Wake up early, get breakfast (the hotel provides a nice one, TG, and we have a table in the room), get everyone bathed, deal with MIL and her mom interfering while we try to get everyone ready. Nothing like popping out of the shower and walking across the hall in a towel and hearing his Mom say "good morning"I like the granola bar idea too. I enjoy those peanut butter ones myself, although I have been known to spread peanut butter on one and top with the other!

Get everyone ready, re-pack the car, drive 15-20 minutes to the aunt & uncles swanky retirement community. Go in and try to visit and try not to let the kids touch anything since it's ALL antiques. Have lunch with them, which usually takes FOREVER, visit a bit more, pack them all in the car and drive the 8+ hours home. By the end of the weekend we are all nuts. I imagine you will be having a similar feeling. That and the thought that if you don't have to drive anywhere for another month that it would be A-Okay
