I'm just back from the Bruins, wrestling match...I mean game. What a crazy game that was. But it ended with big Woohoo!!!

Let me try the pics again. And yes, we had fun. It was a crazy party (1 woman got naked, ROFL!, tons of drinking, the place was mobbed...), but we managed to have good time.

Well, I broke down & turned the heat on last night before we left for our friends football party, even tho it was still on the warm side out - I had said I was waiting for Nov. 1... DH & DS were excited. But I have so many blankets on the bed that I kept waking up hot last nite! (And I only set it on 62 for nighttime!) The past couple of days it was literally warmer outside than inside!

So we actually came home pretty early last nite (11:00 old time). DH busted a knee playing football and it's all swollen up and DS fell into some bushes while goofing off with some other kid & cut his hand. They had like 4 or 5 kegs but I took some wine and was drinking that 'cuz I'm not such a fan of beer - then I ate like 2 cups of chili and got indigestion...so we were sort of a mess as a family!! I didn't count but there were probably about 15 crockpots of chili there...mine was cleaned up which is always a good sign. I guess they probably had about 200-250 people again - it was a nice nite for it. Didn't have to huddle around the patio heaters & fire pits quite as much. (They had 4 fire pits and about 8 of those patio heaters going. Usually they are THE spot to be around but it only got down to about 50 last nite so it was perfect.)

Well, I need to go rustle DH up - he is supposed to go over there at 9:00 to help with taking down the lights & bleachers & stuff. (Yes, this party is such a big deal that our friend bought his own light poles to light the "field" (yard) and his own set of bleachers and he keeps everything in storage somewhere! One year he hired a photographer and a helicopter and had aerial photographs taken! ) I just hope DH can hobble around enough to help and that his knee injury isn't really serious.

I briefly talked to RJ this morning. she and TRM are gettin' rained on at Disneyland. I'm sure they'll still have a great time. Maybe this will keep the crowds down.

I've spent some time today thinking about our trip for this summer. I'm thinking a split betwween ASSP and BC, with a day at Delray Beach visiting my aunt in between. But this is just the preliminary thinking.

I hope the rain stopped for you ladies!

Sean & Linda - Sahweeet job on booking the member cruise! That's a lot of points - that's a 4 nighter, right? Will the boys be OK missing school in Oct. or do they have a break? You will have to let us know if it's worth it or not!

I want a new ticker!! I can't wait to see who all in my family will decide to go with us next summer so I can book something. Well, it will be January before I can book - unless we go to SSR. Oddly enough, even though that's where we own I am in no hurry to stay there. I would love to go back to VWL again...but we can spread our points further if we go to AKV again...and get a STD view or something. I wanna go NOW!!

Well, DH has limped around all day with this bum knee. He tore his ACL in his OTHER knee a few years ago and had replacement surgery on it...he said he doesn't think it did THAT to it...but it's certainly twisted and swollen. I guess he'll wait a few more days before he decides if he needs an Xray or MRI. Darn it.

It is weird being warm again.:rolleyes1

Gonna go watch Desperate Housewives now...

mornin' peeps. what's doin?

DS is home from school for 2 days. ("professional day" today and of course election day tomorrow). speaking of the election...i still can't decide if i am going to vote or not. would be the first time since i turned 18 that i didn't (now that's a LONG time). sigh. i just don't like the 2 choices and can't decide on the lesser evil. someone will win regardless of whether or not i vote. i don't want to feel responsible for the wrong choice.

i should be working outside...the sun is out at the moment...but it drizzled out earlier - it is only about 50 out. not in the mood to go out & cut down plants. my right shoulder hurts whenever i move my arm (arthritis).

DH has a home Skins primetime game tonight...means he will come dragging in at like 2 AM. not sure how his leg will do. he's got it wrapped...but the parking at the stadium is pretty far i think. then his seats are ALL THE WAY UP at the top.

OMG! What a great costume, Betsy. I can't believe thats that sweet little girl. I have to say though, I love that you guys can wear flip flops on Halloween. Usually up here costumes are covered in heavy jackets, LOL! This year was actually pretty decent, in the 50s for Trick or Treating. Love the dog too.

And I know! I will have to work in a way to meet up with you guys, somehow. Ive seen my aunt once in 20 years (summer of 07) and shes not in the best of health at 76, so we are trying to work in a quick visit when we can.

Annie: The points weren't that bad it was 116 for a cat.11, we got one of those sideways rooms we had on the B2B, Thanks to my favorite travel agent SueEllen for giving me all the room numbers of the sideways rooms, we really liked this room, it just seemed bigger I know its not but the illusion of it was. The boys will not be going on this one with us, this is just for me and Linda, it leaves on Sept.13 and returns on Sept.17. From what I hear it is very worth it. The Cm I talked to yesterday told me to pack an empty bag for all the souvenirs will be getting.
