RJ - my first ticker for AKV says "4 weeks". So today is a Thurs. and we LEAVE on a Thurs. so if I don't count either Thurs., only the days inbetween, then we go in 27 days.

OK, I have a plan for this luggage restriction problem...we will check 3 bags (1 bag each) and have 1 "personal item" for each of us (me - purse, DH - laptop & DS - backpack). AND I hate to deal with all of it BUT...we will take 3 carry-on bags for the overhead bins. I usually stuff all of us into 1 but desperate times call for desperate measures. I was already thinking of bringing 1 empty to use for the beer - but now I will also stuff another one in somewhere that meets the carry-on guidelines - so we will go DOWN with 2 empties! On the way HOME they will be used as hampers!

I have to catch up on everything you Peeps have been posting. I'm so far behind!!!

I did want to at least share this information on the gratuity change (or recommended gratuity change)

As of July 13, the suggested gratuities are changing.
Anyone adding pre-paid gratuities on or after July 13th will be charged the new amount:

3 night $36 per person (up from $32.50)
4 night $48 per person (up from $43.75)

Sigh...everything is going up except my pay.

One of the paint reps who I haven't seen in 3 months came in this morning with donuts (butthead!) and said "Oh my god!! you look incredible!!!" he said it like 3 times, so I can't wait for my sister to see me in my cute "little" dress!
(and he promised to bring me fruit next time)

OK I need a refresher on the tipping thing. This above info is for room stewards right? Then we also tip dining room staff? Or did they lump it all together??

Do I have to tip for Linden the whole amount? She is a 1 year old. Is there a prorated amount? Do I get an extra towel animal or something? Or I guess I could just make up for my extra $50 by ordering mickey bars and cookies every night.

Let's see what else does Gertrude need clarification on....

I was thinkin' about the same thing...I am just afraid that as soon as I DO it that AirTran will futz with my flights again and I'll have to do some sort of an amendment. I am going to to it at 3 weeks out I think.

It's all lumped together. I guess they have it broken down somewhere who they recommend gets how much, but I don't have it in front of me.

That is awesome Betsy! I have put on the weight you have lost. I had lost quite a bit for a while there, but in the last 6-10 months I have put most of it back on

Johnna, yes you do tip for leetle Pirates too. We sailed when Colt was 8 months old and I wasnt sure either. After seeing how much EXTRA our waiters and room steward did for him alone, we tip for him and then some.
