It WAS a good season of Survivor with all the blindsides...but I agree, we were surprised that Amanda did not win as well...looked like it was a close vote tho...not a run away win for Parvati...did they show who Cirie voted for? I'll bet she voted for Parvati just bcuz she was ticked at Amanda for not bringing her to the final two. That Natalie was wild wasn't she? I thought Jeff was gonna yell CUT while she was going off on them. She was scary. There is a reason why Erik is an "ice cream scooper"! Poor kid! We really enjoyed the season(s) with Stephanie on it and were disappointed she didn't win. But I'm glad they're going somewhere else next season - they haven't done Africa for a long time now.

But it's set for when we leave home to go to LAX. Then we have a night at the Doubletree in L.A., 4 nights at the Beach Club Villas, 1 night at the Radisson Cocoa Beach, and then...

Oh yeah - them two cruises.

WE NEED AN ARK!!! It has been raining for days it seems...I went out running errands today & it was just MISERABLE. Everything is flooding all over the place. It was only 47 degrees!! Tomorrow is the 5th grade field trip to Mt. Vernon - thank goodness it is supposed to stop raining and the sun should come out and it should be about 68 or 70 tomorrow!! I signed up to go along as a chaperone...I have always been working before whenever he had field trips so this will be my first one EVER! I am a field trip virgin! I am just so glad it's not going to be raining!

I went to Walmart today for some party supplies for DS's birthday next weekend...plates, party favors etc. plus I was hunting for something he'd asked for as a gift. I also found him a plain light blue short sleeve dress shirt for $7.67 and a couple of polo type shirts for like $6 each for the cruise. He already has a tie he can wear with the dress shirt. So I think he's good now. I might need to look for a new pair of slacks for DH but otherwise I think we're pretty set for what to pack now. Is it too early?

OH! SE - the little blue sports bag arrived today for DS's birthday! It's cute. Not quite as big as I was thinking it might be but it's cute! It should work just fine for his camps etc.

And wait...dress shirts with ties!? I thought these had been outlawed by Beano and TZM. Right!? Am I right!? Was not packing dress shirts and ties!!??

And no... Annie its not too early. The "to be packed for cruise" pile has shown up in my closet!

And no... Annie its not too early. The "to be packed for cruise" pile has shown up in my closet!

I am conflicted on what to pack for the "dress up nights". If I don't put dress shirts and ties on my guys then those nights are no different than any other night. I was planning to wear dresses on those nights...why shouldn't they at least do that much?! I am not taking suits...a sport coat for DH tho for Palo...I don't know...I suppose DS could just wear the dress shirt w/o the tie...the only dress shirt he had was long sleeved so I wanted him to have another one anyway...and I bought everything BIG so it would last (size 14/16 as I figured it was cheapy Walmart stuff that would shrink)!! CamColt - have you revised your packing strategy - you're still bring a suit for your DH, right?

OK, I am ready to pack. I need to arrange our transportation this week. Can't do it tomorrow 'cuz of the field trip - I guess on Wed. Can somebody remind me?! I like the idea of the free ME bus to AKV. But that darned Sunday liquor law is killin' my plans! I never got around to calling that Albertson's place the limo people suggested. I wanted to find out how much a case of beer, a bottle of Kahlua for CamColt, a 1/5 bottle of the Captain, a 12 pack of water, and a box of wine would run me...and if they could specifically get the boxed wine I wanted or not...darned weight limits on the bags and the extra bag fees are killin' me too!! I HAD thought I could just pack a 3 liter box of it...but now I may just pack some of the mini screw top bottles of Beringer or Fish Eye in bubble wrap & zip locks again.

Annie - fishie has not yet returned but I read the FE thread and they all seemed to have a great time! So we will keep our fingers crossed fishie remembers his way home.
