DIS Fantasy Baseball 2011

It's that time of year again everyone. Spring Training is in full gear and it's time to start thinking about fantasy baseball.

We've had a good time these past few years with a Yahoo fantasy baseball league consisting of members from here on the DIS Boards. Yahoo has made it even easier this year; all I had to do was re-register the same league we had last year. Any members who played last year will receive an e-mail to the e-mail address you have registered with Yahoo so check your appropriate mailboxes.

NEW MANAGERS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO JOIN!

We always have room for new managers. We had only 10 teams playing in the league last season and there always seems to be a few managers who drop out from year to year so if you'd like to play, please post here in the thread. If you've never played fantasy baseball before, please know that this is a friendly league and newbies are welcome.

Ours is a 6x6 head to head league with the following categories:
Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS)

Pitchers Stat Categories: Wins (W), Saves (SV), Strikeouts (K), Holds (HLD), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP)

Back in 2005, I had never played fantasy baseball before. The first league I ever played in was here on the DISboards. What's more, I ended up winning the league that year. Moral: Don't be afraid to join us!

If you can't make the draft, make sure you have the players ranked in the order you want them drafted.

Wish I saw this weeks ago, but I just joined the boards. My draft is in the final 2 rounds.

Ironically, 3 players I picked injured themselves shortly after the pick. All of them have injured obliques.

Sorry, we had our draft this past Sunday so the league is locked.

There are probably some Yahoo public leagues that you could still join that will not start their scoring until week two of the season. Good luck!
