Dis experts, inform me please (Re ticket transfer)

We know a family that just came back from WDW. They left a day early and so they have a day each left on their tickets to the parks.

Is there a way that we could buy their tickets for the remaining day?

Not with that finger scan thing that they have in the parks. It's a way to tag the ticket with the person it goes with. I don't think it would work for you.

Nope ... tickets are non transferrable. Now days they do a finger scan to make sure people don't sell partially used tickets.

Tickets also expire 14 days from the first day of use, so unless they purchased the no expiration option they probably will expire unless your trips are real close together.

ETA: I think it's a pity that days that were paid for but went unused have to go to waste like this. Such a shame
