Hi Divas:

I've skim-read your posts for the past few years and wished I could make it to one of your meets, and I think I'll finally make it in 2013! I retired last year, and now have the time to do some fun stuff. I would like to attend the meet and greet, and I'll PM Tinkermell (if I can figure out how - I'm not the techiest person around) about the pink shirt. Is there any way to get the purple shirt? I noticed it's not on your list of shirts for this year, but it's super-cute!

I got to spend some time with Kandace last night at the Pacific NW "mini" Mouse Meet & then went to D23's Fanniversary. I had a GREAT time getting to know Kandace better & cannot wait to meet more of the divas in person!! I'm SOOOOOO excited for the trip!!!!

First of all, I'm sorry to hear you've been going through chemo. But, I'm glad to hear you are almost done!
Second, I love the spoof! That's great! I can already tell you will have no problem at all fitting in with this group.

Not true! You helped me with photo posting a long time ago. But I'm not sure how to change a photo. I've tried changing my avatar pic so many times and it just won't let me. Might as well keep it since it's almost Christmas again.

Becky had a baby girl!! So happy to have another princess in the family. Her name is Francesca Jayne and weighed in at 9lbs 5oz, 20.5 inches!

Kaitlyn is waiting at LAX for her flight out. She is leaving at 11:45 tonight.



Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about your DH. That is so discouraging. I hope something opens up soon. Take care and big hugs.

Stacie, I remember when Christine went away. I kept her in my prayers too. Wasn't she gone over the summer 2 years ago or so?

Out of my 4 children, this is the third that has gone overseas for an extended amount of time. Derrick also went with YWAM to the Phillipines. Becky went to Spain for a semester of school. LOL, when Derrick arrived home from his trip, he had not cut his hair or shaved the whole time, which we didn't know. So when he finally came out of customs, we did not even recognize him. Up to that point since his hair had never been long, we didn't know how curly it was. And then his beard was red! RED! So here comes this kid with long curly hair and a red beard. He looked like John the Baptist!! Anyways, anyone who has sent their child overseas, and sometimes into unsure territory knows what I feel like. You gotta have faith, to keep you through it all. Well, at least I do.

In this kind of situation, I always think about our brave men and women in the service, and their families left behind. I am so thankful for all of them. It must be sooooooooooooo hard to say good-bye to them.

Stephanie and Heather, thank you for your sacrifice to our country and for our freedom. And Jen's DH who serves in the National Guard. And anybody else, who I am probably forgetting.

Well, life has been busy, getting caught up, but...

Belated congrats to you, Melody, on your new grand baby. How exciting!

Also, I hope you are fairing okay with Kaitlyn on her international adventure, but it sounds like you had other kids that have travelled internationally and have good ways of coping with the time while they are away. I know I missed my daughter when she went away for a semester last year. I don't think it is ever easy as moms to have our kids away.

I am waiting into see the doctor. Have been sick the last couple of days. It appears to be a bacterial infection, so I am thinking she is probably going to have to put me on antibiotics. I hate going on antibiotics and try not to take them very often, but I know there is a point when you just have to give in and get the treatment and I think I'm there. .

Huzzah! LOL Thanks, it was fun! I love going to Faire, I'd like to start going again every year, that would be so fun. I found a really amazing costume I'd love to try to make, it's a belly dancing type of costume, so cute! I think I could do it (major beading work) but it would be a project!

How about Bones?? Tonight is the season premiere!!!

I love Bones, but we are so far behind, we are still in season 6 right now. I think my DVR did record it but I'll probably delete it so we can get caught up on the last 2 seasons.

Welcome to the group, this is my first year attending as well! I cannot wait!!!! I am sooooooo excited!! And in a couple of years I'll be able to bring DD16 as well, she will love that!

I stayed out too late last night, I'm tired today. LOL I did get a "job" making some wine charms for my BFF's birthday, but they will be gift from someone else. LOL They will be easy to do though so I'll have them done by tomorrow. I need to find her some gift bags (we like to give re-usable ones so we can.....well......re-use them LOL) and a card but I've got all my gifts ready for her. I should consider doing some laundry, but I also need to make laundry detergent and don't know that I'll feel like doing that tonight. lol I do have some stand-by just in case detergent but I prefer not to use it if I don't have to. I need to wash my Faire costume, man it was hot out there! LOL
I'm sort of craving Mexican food, maybe I'll do that for dinner.......what's everyone else doing for dinner tonight?

Do you have a BJs restaurant near you? They are having their party for two special right now. For $19 you get salad or soup for two, a medium specialty pizza, and a pizookie. Their pizzas are so good, and filling! I think I'll make something for the kids, and then Ruben and I will have that.

You should make the belly dancing costume! You can do it and just think how awesome it would look.

Their gluten-free crust is really good!

We went to the memorial last night. The boys refused to sit still so Earl had to leave with them. There were so many people there!

Tough Mudder is Saturday - I am getting nervous! We had to cancel our hotel reservations since we cannot fit it in the budget right now, which means we lose about 12 hours of acclemating (spelling?) to the elevation.

Hello ladies. I'm behind as usual plus my computer broke so I only have my phone right now which makes it harder to keep up.

On top of my computer breaking, this last week has been pretty awful. I was given 1 week notice to move, Laila got lice at daycare, I got in a car accident and something really awful happened over the weekend but I rather not talk about it on the thread or FB. The positives are that the car accident wasn't my fault & Cliff has been a great support & we are now moving in together.

Also it's my sons b-day tomorrow and I totally forgot & haven't planned anything yet...bad mom!

I still hope I'll be able to meet up with some of Divas next weekend. I'm also hoping I'll be able to WDW next month. The trip isn't looking too good at this point.

Dinner tonight??? I only have a 4 day window each two weeks that I can eat fresh fruits and veggies due to chemo, and today is the last day of my "window", so probably a huge salad and fruit for dessert.

I hope you'll still make the trip next weekend. Lice is terrible. It went around school when my girls were young, half the school was out with it. Hope the good in your life outweighs the bad.
