You Sound very focused Kellie :thumbsup2

ive got to be, ive been on and off since christmas:sad2:

ive got to shift at least 2 1/2 stone by the time we go away in july.

my problem is i want fast results but i know that slow and steady is the best way and that i can do it.
i also do that terrible thing of weighing myself every day which i have got to stop

so fingers crossed i can stay focused

kellie

I lost a further 5lbs last week, but feel this week may be tougher! Went for a lovely walk around Virginia Water Lake on Saturday so got plenty of exercise.

Good luck this week everybody

Wow!!! Great loss last week, guys!!! :worship: :worship: :worship: Good luck for this week, everyone - hope we'll all be one great big bunch of losers... :thumbsup2 ;)

I'm starting a different regime this week as a new exercise book "Walk Away The Pounds" came on Saturday and it sounds exactly my kinda thing - I'm very excited!!! :yay: Apparently in 6 weeks I could drop 15lbs!!! Well, I'm aiming for 10lbs so that would be fab... I'm also giving the low-carb thing a rest - it's worked brilliantly for me in the past but I think my body's got used to it so I've decided to abandon that for a while... Fingers crossed it works!!!! :scared:

Brilliant loss!!!! Fingers crossed for this week... :thumbsup2

Totally agree with the carbs thing. Since I stopped eating bread and pasta I've lost far more weight. I still eat the occasional jacket potato with baked beans, but that's my main carb indulgence. I now eat vegetables, meat and fish, sometimes in some really lovely Weightwatchers sauces!!

That worked wonderfully for me up until last year - but this year I have really struggled. I know low-carb diets can mess with your metabolism - esp if you're 40+ and I'm almost 45 - so I'm ditching it to see what happens. Just had my first piece of toast and jam in years - delish with a cuppa... :goodvibes

You're doing brilliantly - how much have you lost so far, if you don't mind me asking??? :)

I have lost 3 stone 13lbs and nearly the same age as you. I'll be 47 in July. My holiday is in 5 weeks so I have not got long to last and I cannot wait for toast as I really love mny bread!

Well done - you must be delighted!!! :cool1: I'd be very happy to lose the final 8/10lbs for my hols in March - I lost it last year for my Vow Renewal but Christmas, a couple of WDW trips and the flippin' DDP :sad2: meant I put it back on in a very short time!!! This year I'm determined to lose it and keep it off!!!

Check it out, Jeanette! I got mine from Amazon here... Honestly, it's the most accessible fitness book I have ever encountered. Plus there are exercise DVDs so you don't even have to go outside to do it if you don't want to... :thumbsup2

Hi

I just cut out carbs and ate porridge for breakfast mixed with water, Salad for lunch with two tablespoons of natural yogurt over it instead of dressing and vegetables, meat or fish for dinner.

The weight watchers sweet and sour sauce is a godsend as I can actually flavour vegetables.

I still crave lovely creme eggs but that's about my only craving. It is so tough though, but when I feel hungry I just eat a raw carrot as they're crunchy.

Good luck, Jeanette! :thumbsup2 BTW I really recommend getting a pedometer if you haven't already got one - it makes counting the steps really straightforward...

...Karen let us know how you get on with your walking !

Will do, Nat! :)

Thanks Mandy - fingers crossed for both of us... ;) Sadly, the book didn't come with a DVD - I've seen them on eBay but I think they're Region 1 so only OK if you've got a multi region DVD player. I made myself a fave songs play list on my iPod and walked to that whilst watching TV! Probably looked a bit crazy but I enjoyed myself... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
