DIS Dad and his 40" Shadow's May '09 Wilderness PTR

Great plan. We will also be in Epcot for a 730p ressie at Rose and Crown staying for Illuminations. If you get a chance come have a beer!

Sorry I missed this post since it was on a previous page (and I didn't back track till just now).

What a great ressie time for R&C. :thumbsup2 I hope you get a great table. And thanks for the invite.

I think I've posted it a time or two (especially in the MMM thread), but I  Beer. We'll be looking for you. I can't remember the last time I was at Epcot in the evening and didn't make a stop at R&C :drinking1

Great new camera. We have a Cannon. I have been playing with the settings on it. Your last MK day sounds fun! We also love the Little Mermaid over here all 3 of them!!

The CM suggested the time when I made my ADR so we could check out Illuminations. My hubby is a homebrewer and a huge beer snob. I am sure he will sonsume many a glass.
Going again in Aug-how exciting!!

Thanks.

I love the Finding Nemo show at DHS (but it kind of gets me choked up a bit when I'm there with my DS).

My favorite Disney movie is (and I probably shouldn't admit this) The Little Mermaid.

My DH would never admit he was choked up. He just kinda wipes his eyes when we watch Extreme Makeover Home Addition ;).

I think I must be in a group all by myself, my favorite movie is Meet the Robinson's. I loved all of the Toy Story's but MTR took their place for some reason. GREAT MOVIE!!!

Don't worry about admitting that - you're among friends

I saw the Finding Nemo show at DHS a few trips ago and I plan to see it again during this trip. I got more than choked up when I saw it as I do when I watch the movie (note to self - bring tissues  ).

Nope, you're not by yourself. I love Meet the Robinsons and both Toy Story movies. When it comes to Disney moives, it is really hard to pick a favorite because there are sooo many great movies :lovestruc

Hello all!

As the days wind down till our trip its been difficult to post, so this will be it till our Post Trip Report I think.

The suitcase is almost packed, the "distractions" I will need on plane (DVD player, Nintendo DS) are ready and waiting to be charged up, and I'll pick up the final items (sunscreen, etc.) in the next day or two.

I checked the 10 day forcast for Orlando today, and the forcast is HOT!!! 88-90 each day, 70 for the low. Guess I don't need to pack any pants! We went Memorial Day Weekend a few years back and it was the same, so I expected it.

Colin and I got some customized Disney shirts that we will debut at the Spectromagic Dole Whip Meet, I've got my MMM shirt, and one other lime green shirt in the bag.

So thanks to everyone for reading my PTR, and I hope you'll come back for my Post Trip Report. I'll also be starting my August trip pre-trip report when I return. Believe it or not, I have to make my ADR's the day after I return from this trip. Thankfully the August hours have been released.

:goodvibes

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (Picturing Dory in my mind from Finding Nemo :lmao:).

I've been away on business for a few days so I have some catching up on the posts. One more trip chapter to write about (Last day:sad1:) then some banter for sure.

Only 2 more weeks tommorrow! :woohoo:

On a fun note, I got a new toy for my trip. I had been going back and forth for a few weeks (I've always had a Cannon), but I liked the options on the Sony.

I can't wait to use it!
Ok, I have to ask...is that the DSC-W290? If so, tell me what you think because that's what I ordered today (in blue). I can't wait!!!:yay:

It is, and I love it. It does all the thinking for me. It even will shoot the picture automatically if you have the smile detector on (which I haven't used yet but will at WDW). :)

I've used it twice so far, once at a Wedding last Saturday, and on Mother's Day at a local amusement park. The one thing I like is there is really no delay when you press the button down like on my Cannon. I was always missing the shot. On Mother's Day it took really sharp pictures of my son on a "Dumbo" like ride while he went whizzing by. Zero blur.

I think you'll like it. :goodvibes

Mine is actually silver (but I couldn't find a pic to post).

Awesome! I got my camera in today and have played with it a bit. Unfortunately, I didn't bother ordering a memory stick when I ordered the camera, so I'm stuck playing with it 2 pictures at a time. I'm traveling for work next week, so probably won't get the memory until after that. I'm glad you posted the blue picture...I might not have noticed that it was the exact one I bought otherwise!

I can't wait to see all the pictures you take with the camera on your trip.

:woohoo: I hope you guys have a blast (I'm sure you will)! :woohoo:
