We are cruising next week on the Magic but did not book it with points. I don't think they know we are DVC members.

Are there any benefits/perks for DVC members? Should I call to let them know we are DVC members?

We cruised in Oct. 2001 and did cruise using points. We were invited to a DVC open house thing where we had free drinks and they played jeopardy. I won some GREAT prizes - a Vero Beach tote bag, DVC mousepad, etc. I can't remember if we had to present the invitation to get in or not. Everyone who attended got DVC baseball caps.

There were also a few DVC informational meetings that anyone could go to. We went to one and it seemed about half the people were already members.

As Renee said there are two different DVC get togethers. One is for members and one is an info meeting for both members and non members. There is a DVC desk set up on Deck 4 I believe. Stop by and let them know you are members. You might something fun. In May of 2001 we got DVC pins (the 2000 ones). On the DVC member cruise they had buttons and temporary tatoos.

At the part we got hats and I won a note cube. At the info meeting I went to I also got a can cozy.

Nice to meet other members.

Wonderful! I was hoping I could get my DH to listen to DVC info on our May 2003 Wonder 3-nighter. Now I know I can. I thought we'd have to rush through a presentation at the dock, or something. Now that I know it's onboard, we'll have less time pressure and (hopefully) I can time it so he's in a good, open-minded mood!
Thanks for the info!
