dis convention?

Welcome, Paula! I'm not sure if convention registrations are still being accepted, but you can go to http://www.wdwinfo.com/discon.htm for more info. There are quite a few mini-meets that you can attend that don't require convention registration.

Definitely e-mail Linda (and/or Marsha since Linda is out of town for a few days) and see if you can purchase the convention events-only tickets. If so, great!!!! If not, that's okay. We'll find you in the parks.

Okay Paula.....I'll bite. I don't know if the convention folks will get special t-shirts or not, but we'll have special lanyards and I'm sure some of us will be wearing our DIS merchandise (DIS-Con logos or otherwise ), and most of us, if not ALL of us, will have on our Lime Green Ribbons.

Don't forget to wear your ribbon Paula.

Oh, and I highly suspect that a lot of us will be moving in large groups....LOL

Paula..some Disers wear lime green ribbons on their clothing or backpacks, etc.. so that is one way you can tell.... You can also look at the Itinerary for the Convention and head yourself to the mini meets, which are open to all... and some of us are purchasing Dis Conventions t shirts and will be wearing those as well..

Paula,

Any lime green ribbon will work. Just make sure you can easily be spotted. I am going to tie some on my daughters stroller and backpack as well as wear a bow on my shirt I hope to see you there.

Last spring I went to the fabric store and tried to find Lime Green Ribbon....the best I could do was NEON lime green ribbon But it definitely worked!

A few months ago I found 12 meters of lime green ribbon for only 1 guilder (about $ 0,40)!!
I'll take it with me to the opening reception, so if any of you needs ribbon, just come see me.....

You really have to spy out the green ribbon and be brave.

I was suppose to meet someone at Disneyland. She was decked out in lime green and I never saw her. She saw me but was to nervous to talk to me. (we had never seen each other)

Just be brave and walk up to complete strangers and ask them if they are wearing lime green for the DIS convention and see what reacts you get. Heck, ask anyone even if they are not wearing lime green and see what reaction you get you might introduce someone to the board.
We were told once that lime green ribbon was for transplant people like pink is for breast cancer so you never know who'll you'll meet.

Paula, do you have children? Who are you traveling to WDW with?

no kids yet,I am travelling to Florida with my fiance and we are going to be married,although not at Disney as the budget does'nt strech that far! We have hourever found a wonderful minister and will have a nice ceromony with him so we have double the excitement on this holiday. I have been there twice,Ohio three times(my aunt lives there) and disneyland calafornia once,so I am a big fan of America and all tings American. My fiancee has never been yet and is acting like a big kid already!!
I love seeing everyones kids pictures on this site some real cuties there.
