Can't figure out how to make a poll:(

To attend DIS CON Zurg and I will have to take to different airlines to use our FF miles...The question is who should spend 2 hrs in Boston vs who should arrive 2 hrs. earlier in Orlando....

We can't decide....please vote and help us decide.....:p :p

Will you rent a car? If so - the person picking up the car should be the one to arrive first. If you aren't renting a car, then I say ladies first! ;)

No car rental (Zurg is having a difficult time with this concept we always rent) but it's one additional expense....

Looks like I'm the favorite:D :D

Are the airlines maybe partners with each other than you could fly together? We are using Alaska Airlines on American to fly to Orlando. Otherwise, ladies first. Of course, I would say that, I'm a lady. :p

Kim, it was nice to meet you. I enjoyed your whole family.....but I have to agree....Ladies First. ;) :D Hope to see you there.

Who am I to go against public opinion ;)

so

....ladies first of course :)

Definitely, ladies first to arrive in Orlando
(then, just claim that you "forgot" dear Zurg was still on his way and hightail it to WDW to meet up with us!)

Gentlemen in this case-------All luggage except for a small easy to carry bag would go with the Gentleman. This way he can collect and transport the heavy bags. Next The gentleman would secure a proper dwelling for the lady. (I'd rather not have to check-in.) I love to step off the plane, catch a shuttle to WDW, and get to my room with out having to carry a bag or do the checking in thing. Well that's my point of view.

P.S. I'd also take into account who would have to leave for the airports the earliest.

You know what I think dalepool has a plan!! I 2nd that idea and then all Zurg'swife would have to do is get off the plane with hand baggage - nice idea!

Yeah Zurg has mentioned that who ever arrives first should take all the luggage.....I'm thinking playing in Boston might have its advantages...

BTW both planes live PHL the same time...

Wait a minute Kim....do you plan on just packing two suitcases going down for both? because if I'mnot wrong, your luggage will be with you not with him, which means when you get there you will still have luggage to take care of....I say you go first ! Zurg you know I love ya but Kim deserves a break...right kim?? ;) LOL

Since you are not flying together, each of you is limited in the amount of luggage you can check/carry on. Besides, if the luggage were lost and one person had all of it - you'd be sunk! I say each take care of your own luggage.

P.S. Why not buy one ticket on the airline with the lowest fare to Orlando, and use miles on the same airline for the other person? That way you can travel together. The next time you fly, buy a ticket on the OTHER airline and use miles for the 2nd person.

Good Idea but we are squeezing this in between 2 trips that are 5 months apart....the extra $250 for a ticket just adds that much to the budget....We are trying to be as thrifty as we possibly can...well for us anyway....

MSKANGA
do you plan on just packing two suitcases going down for both?

NO Kanga....We would only take ONE suitcase whether we we'd be traveling together...or apart....So, I think I'll send the suitcase with him....and I'll take the layover

Yippppeee! I guess this means you're definitely coming to Dis-Con? :)
